I wish we could get a guy like Matt Patricia as DC.

Those Bellichick coaches know how to game plan. Wade can too, I’m not suggesting otherwise. Just really like a guy who has creativity... and aggression to do stuff different from week to week if the matchup suggests so. Be on offense with the defense, so to speak.

Browns meeting with GM Dorsey; job status in doubt

Two days after firing head coach Freddie Kitchens, the Cleveland Browns could be shaking up the front office.
Browns general manager John Dorsey has a meeting Tuesday with owner Jimmy Haslam, and the GM's job status appears to be in serious doubt, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo.
Dorsey was hired by the Browns in December 2017 after Cleveland moved on from Sashi Brown in the middle of the campaign. Under Dorsey's leadership, the Browns have used draft picks stockpiled by his predecessor to select franchise cornerstones Baker Mayfield, Denzel Ward and Nick Chubb in the 2018 draft and trade for receivers Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham in consecutive offseasons.
Under Kitchens, Dorsey's coaching hire, in 2019, the talent-laden Browns underwhelmed en route to a 6-10 record. With Kitchens now out the door, could Dorsey soon follow?
Around The NFL will have more on this story shortly.

Some SEC coordinators-
Dave Aranda -LSU
Kevin Steele - Auburn
Todd Grantham - Georgia

All are mature coaches, running versions of 3-4 and facing Spreads, RPO’s and Air Raids with success.

Names in the hat.

Aranda took the HC job at UNLV. Grantham is at UF and sucks. Steele isn't a NFL DC. Two names in the college ranks I think are worth watching (FWIW) are Wisconsin DC Jim Leonhard (long-time NFL safety) and Oregon DC Andy Avalos.

This reminds me of when the Giants hired Pat Shurmur. Not exciting AT ALL. Franchise on pause.

Not a bad coach, but you’ve hired a slightly better version of Jeff Fisher. Nothing like knowing you’re probably replacing your coach in 3yrs... when he shows the exact same results he always has.

Thank goodness we have a fresh mind as our coach.

Rivera is far better than Shurmur. He's better than Fisher too. The Redskins needs some stability (like we did when we fired Fisher). Rivera will give them that. No guarantee he pans out (because Snyder is a doofus), but he's not a bad hire.

Good God...Doug Marone staying in Jacksonville...Shahid "Shad" Khan continues to make mistakes...I truly believe he kept Marone just to dispute the report that had him gone on Sunday...I'll show them just like LBJ did with J. Edgar Hoover.

The Jaguars just don't want to be good.

Actually UNLV hired Marcus Arroyo former Oregon OC...Dave Aranda is still at LSU, but I like Jim Leonard of Wisconsin, he's McVay like....Great thinking Lincoln.

Wow. My mistake. I thought they had announced they hired him. Looks like it never went through. I like Aranda, but it'll be hard to top the $2.5 million per year that LSU pays him.

Nah...I believe that Stan & his wife Ann Walton Kroenke have more money then the whole State of Louisiana.

Rams should interview Dorsey. I know Snead would crap his pants but...

I think everybody does, give him the title of Offensive Coordinator and I do believe he could work with Kromer, but Callahan will be in high demand and many teams with deep pockets will come calling.

How many team owners have deeper pockets than Silent Stan the Man?

"The Bears have fired offensive coordinator Mark Helfrich, offensive line coach Harry Hiestand, tight ends coach Kevin Gilbride and assistant special teams coach Brock Olivo, the team announced Tuesday.

The headliner of the group is Helfrich, who joined coach Matt Nagy in Chicago in 2018 as coordinator after leaving Oregon in 2016."

Have to laugh at Nagy and the firing line with his offensive staff. What a douche.

Dorsey is out in Cleveland hahahahha... Haslem is an effin moron.

Haslam is truly incompetent and is why the Browns still stink.

Hiestand was a shocker for me.

Dave Tepper of the Panthers is worth 12 Billion, but our beloved Enos Stanley Kroenke is worth 9.7 billion and his wife Ann Walton Kroenke (Sam Walton's Daughter) is also worth 7.7 billion separately. So that's 17.4 billion if you're keeping track.

Just a thought,

Do you guys like Kitchens as a OC for McVay? Not to call plays but to gameplan.

No....Let him join his good friend Bruce Arians in Tampa...Have a feeling Freddie will be back being a position coach, should have gone with Fred, dropped some weight and donned a tie, he'd still be the Head Coach.
