If the Rams think Shula or another member of Wade's group has that potential I could see them coming to agreement with Wade for him to transition to whichever chosen replacement he and the team agree on. And I'd be ok with that because I remain in Wade's corner and we can keep him around a bit longer.

Best option of all IMO is they keep Wade and get him some better pieces on defense. The secondary is close, but that front seven has a lot of holes and key decisions if they want to see a top unit.

My fear is they pick Barry. Who I like btw just not as DC.

Oh and btw on the offensive side how about Wes Phillips taking on more of a role? He's done a very nice job with his unit (this is his first year as Rams' TE coach). Maybe that TE production we saw in Washington had something to do with him eh?

Wes may have to wait until Wade is officially off the team, it might look a little too much like nepotism otherwise. I'm good with another year of Wade if he is, ... losing Fowler, Littleton & Brockers is going to require some expertise as our personnel transitions, and Wade can help. Still, McVay doesn't have the history with Wes Phillips like he does with Shula.

I think Sean and Wes were pretty close in Washington. It's that connection that led to Wade agreeing to join the staff of a 31 year old head coach hire. Wes had to wait another year and I find it interesting that the very year he jumps over to us we see a big boost in our TE play across the board.

Nepotism is rampant in this league too btw. It's kinda ridiculous tbh. But I think nobody would bat an eye if Wes were promoted given what he did with those TEs.

Waiting for Jerry Jones to announce the Garrett extension and firing of Kellen Moore...just because that seems like a Jerry Jones thing to do.

It's hard to give up a head coach who takes you seriously as a GM when you own the team...

Jerry Jones: "I really thought we did some dramatic things last year when we made some (coaching) changes. And I had a lot to do with that. So don't hang that one totally around Jason Garrett's neck. There's a lot of blame to pass around here & I certainly accept my share of it."

That doesn’t sound like a guy who is about to fire his head coach. So crazy, only Jerry. Cowboy fans are losing their damn minds.

New York Giants should have fired both Pat Shurmur & Dave Gettleman, but for some odd reason Gettleman survived. The good news is Baylor Head Coach Matt Rhule is their target, he's a former Giant assistant that has worked with Gettleman, however, if Rhule has his choice of coming to New York or staying in Texas and taking the Dallas job, I would take the Cowboy job all day long. (As my Grandfather rolls over.)

Do you really think its a good time to switch to a 4-3? We have limited funds as is. We would need to "burn" a lot of mad cheddar to reform our front 7.
My only concern is the lack of mad cheddar & draft capital to make over our defense.
Just saying' is all

EDIT: i could get behind it, for the simple reason he knows the gum chewer very well
We already are going to see some transition. Brockers, Littleton (the other ILB spot as well?), Fowler and Matthews potentially being cut. If we're going to change this is the year to do it.

Been pretty quiet today , thought it would be more active

Three fired today and another one in the works with Marrone plus the two already fired. That's some significant change over.
