On the one hand: Kevin Coyle was on that 'Cuse defensive staff last year. Coyle jumped ship mid-season to become UCLA's DC and was absolutely instrumental in the upset win over Penn State . . . suggesting something might have been good about that 'Cuse coaching staff last year. Plus, "Wright was named an American Football Coaches Association’s 35-under-35 winner for 2024. "

On the other hand: " the 'Cuse finished 125th out of 134 FBS teams in total defense." Wright was available because he was unemployed.

Another young defensive coach pulled from the college ranks. Believe Wright graduated in 2015 (that was the last time @kurtfaulk purchased new socks), which would make Wright around 32 years old ... same age as recently hired DBs coach Michael Hunter.

Looked up the Hawks OC and he was a defensive guy for a lot of his career. I wonder what made him switch to offense when he went to the 49ers?
 
Many of us recognize Seattle's new Offensive Coordinator, Brian Fleury, from watching Rams/49ers' games ... but WHO KNEW that Niners' TE, George Kittle, was the illegitimate son of Brian Fleury?!?!
