I disagree, the offensive line is a mess in Las Vegas and the defense has one player, that's it. Granted they will have their choice at QB, but will they hire a HC that can develop him? Mark Davis cannot spell cat if you spotted him the C and the A. So IMO, they will continue to be the bottom feeder of the AFC West.
I’m not disagreeing with your assessment of the raiders, you understand, but should a COMPETENT GM take the reins, it would be a great opportunity.

Imagine it was YOU. You’re a knowledgeable poster. You couldn’t do something about that OL?
Your 2nd rounder alone should net you a starter.

"Some context into the Dolphins' decision to fire Mike McDaniel, per multiple people involved in the decision: Owner Steve Ross met with McDaniel on Tuesday, and the outcome of the meeting left Ross very conflicted. He really likes Mike -- "loves his intelligence and offensive mind" -- but Tuesday's meeting resulted in some hard thoughts. Ross didn't feel like the results were there, and despite the end-of-year production, Ross simply wasn't comfortable moving forward with the "status quo." Now for the elephant in the room: I'm told the Dolphins have not yet been in touch with John Harbaugh or anyone in his camp, and people close to the decision are adamant this decision to move away from McDaniel is independent of Harbaugh's availability. I'm told the Dolphins will conduct the head coaching search after a GM is in place, which should be in the next few days. Yes, it obviously could lead to discussions with Harbaugh. And yes, one of the GM candidates (Chad Alexander) is very close to Harbaugh. But people close to the situation tell me this decision to fire Mike would have been made either way."

Who knows? But the timing is rather strange. Two guys let go in season (Daboll, Callahan), 4 guys let go on Monday upon season's completion (Carroll, Stefanski, Morris and Gannon). During all those firings the Dolphins announce McDaniels is safe and will in fact, be part of the GM search. Then Harbaugh is fired on Tuesday January 6th. I'll bet the Dolphins were wringing their hands waiting 48 hours to keep it from being totally obvious!!!! Of course they'll wring those hands again for another 48 hours before announcing Chad Alexander as the new GM!!!!
That's a whole lot of "we're following the Rooney Rule" speak.

On a different subject, why is Matt Nagy getting a lot of HC play? And reading social media posts by some fans like the Ravens are excited about it... why? I don't get it. Dude was a huge failure as a HC and the Chiefs offense has slid off a cliff since he showed back up in charge of it. Plus, he's just generally unlikable I feel like. But maybe just me.

I’m laughing because he was given the old cliche, kiss-of-death, vote of confidence earlier this season. They said he WOULD return next year.
I wonder if Harbaugh really wants that job because it’s South Beach and maybe the Family wants warm weather.
