Dude, slow your roll and look at the posts you are quoting. The subject was Washington, not Mayer. Good grief. The straw man is your false claim that I stated that Mayer would not improve the running game

I've been a bit intrigued with Sanders. Could he possibly be an edge in the mold of Parsons? I don' t literally mean the freak show Parsons, I mean off ball LB in college translating to edge in NFL. He did play edge at Bama I believe before he transferred. If he can't play edge, I really can't see having interest in an off ball LB in the 2nd. If I did, it'd lean more toward the freak show type like Simpson.Couple of thoughts.
We are going to be a bad defense unless we make drastic changes like going after Chase Young as a possibility. Combined with taking Joey Porter and a trade into the back of the second round to get Drew Sanders and maybe there is something but I still doubt it.
To me the best course of action is running the ball effectively and WAY more playing slow ball. To achieve that you need a better OL. Torrence is a roadgrader, he graded out at 100% as run blocker that's insane. He never gave up a sack in college and only gave up 2 pressures last year with Richardson running around constantly which says he is amazing.
To a degree Mayer could help out by Stafford making short throws with his sure hands combined with his superior inline blocking skills, but to me I still think Torrence is the answer for the next 10 years.
Lastly in terms of a BU QB I want Dorian Thompson Robinson everyone is sleeping on him period. He was rated 6th best in the NCAA at completion percentage with 69.5% which is the only thing to me that matters. Most QBs are lucky to hit 63% many in high 50s in college. He can run great and with his accuracy he will be an amazing BU notice what I said BU. He went to UCLA so he's definitely smart. Hooker and Levis are projected starters when we already have a Superbowl winning starter so why sit that type of talent behind a Stafford for 3+ years reminds me of Love and Rodgers makes zero sense.
Lol. The discussion was about predominantly run blocking tight ends and whether that is the best use of that second pick. But, whatever.Dude, slow your roll and look at the posts you are quoting. The subject was Washington, not Mayer. Good grief.

Colts just took a raw dude with shitty film at 4.
Haha. Couldn't agree more. I only wanted to set the record straight on what my point was/is, but am more than happy to just let it go.Sometimes I read stuff and I don’t know why there is any reason to be testy, and this is one.
As a dude just reading posts, we are all here on draft day as “high commitment” Rams fans… so let’s order another round of beers and move on.
Except he is twice the athlete and doesn't have injury concerns. Colts needed a QB and its clear Levis is not thought very highly of.I think Richardson is the next Trey Lance.
I would NEVER have taken that gamble.
I also think Richardson is worlds better than Lance. Richardson's throwing motion alone is vastly superior. He throws a very nice ball, actually. But going at 4 was a shocker.Except he is twice the athlete and doesn't have injury concerns. Colts needed a QB and its clear Levis is not thought very highly of.
Agree...you can get solid players in the top 175...but with a top ten pick you have to look at it as a lottery ticket and you should take the gamble where if it works out, your franchise is set for 12 plus yrs.Except he is twice the athlete and doesn't have injury concerns. Colts needed a QB and its clear Levis is not thought very highly of.

The biggest question for me with him is if you can clean up his accuracy issues with footwork fixes and can he be protected from bad passing situations early with a option/RPO game.
Don’t know if I’m repeating this.. my goal with this draft would be to raise the Rams floor this year & next.I hear you there but I'd say 20 spots is too much of a drop. Guess I hope they find a happy medium to have their cake and eat it too. Gonna be interesting and I hope we pick some good rookies cuz we definitely need it.
No matter who they pick, even if it's Levis, I'll root hard for them as they're Rams players. My only take before the draft begins is simple. Everyone has lists of players they think should be drafted. Especially, the Kiper’s and McShaw’s. They are paid for their opinions and totally suck at it.
So if player you like gets drafted, Cheer and celebrate, accept the praise you will get, thank your lucky stars and then F OFF. Ok it’s a long night. Right, and it’s on to the next pick. (Ricky Gervais channeled)

I get what you are saying. I'm only saying that I hope they don't move so far back that we miss out on the prospects we really like. Regardless of what the Rams decide to do, it's going to be interesting to watchDon’t know if I’m repeating this.. my goal with this draft would be to raise the Rams floor this year & next.
Next offseason would be about reaching the ceiling.
A lower 2nd and couple of 3rds for R2.36 would be the trade of 2023. Id love it but think we are looking at lower 2nd plus a mid 3rd at best.If you want OL and we aren't going QB in rd 2 then we would be best to trade down to lower 2nd and grab a couple 3rds where you can get decent OL. Not worth taking in high 2nd for one guy.
Try again.Lol. The discussion was about predominantly run blocking tight ends and whether that is the best use of that second pick. But, whatever.
