Looks like her cornerbacks are even worse than I thought.
And I thought they were pretty bad.

Just IMO, but I thought D.J. Humphries was unplayable out there. To say that Humphries' pass blocking was comparable to the pass blocking of the starting Center of the best offense in football just doesn't seem right.
It does if you start with the premise that PFF is Bull-Shit.

Id like to blame Whittington but it seemed like no wr could Crack the #3 spot since mcvay has been here tbh. It just doesnt seem like a position that mcvay values in scheming or game planning for.

Also for ST Whittington isn't the fastest guy but I also think our blocking was subpar. So when its mediocre or bad all around it compounds
2026 WRs:
-Nacua is top 1/2 WR in the NFL.
-Mumfield contributed and should improve in year 2.
-Adams is likely to return as a possession/red zone WR
- Rams need a WR 2:
Could they pick up a FA like Mike Evans, Alex Pierce, Wan’dal Robinson?
Or more likely pick a WR with one of their R1picks
-Rams need a kick returner so zi could see a burner added R6 in draft.
-Tutu and Smith are goners. Whit could be a cut depending on Draft/FA pick ups.

Agreed. There is 0 way Humphries' pass blocking was better than Shelton's. If it was, Stafford would never have had this type of season, or stayed this clean in the pocket.

I think Adams is still an above average WR2. He's not a WR1 anymore, so those saying the Rams have a WR1A/1AB situation are off IMO, but Davante can still ball, and is a great WR2. His separation stats, both against zone coverage and man, were elite. And that matched the eye test to me. After a few weeks, once he got going, perhaps just needing more chemistry with Stafford as #9 missed training camp, the dude was routinely open. By a lot. It is just that he kept dropping easy catches - he hauls those in, his states would be eye popping. It made no sense how much he was dropping. He must have been close to the top of the NFL in drop %. I was honestly shocked at how unreliable his hands were outside of the red zone, as I had never heard of him having drop issues on his prior teams. But he is so deadly in the red zone, you can look past it. And he can also make some insane catches - like his crucial one against Chicago on the sideline.

I wonder if they will extend Parkinson to save some cap room this year. He is only 26 yrs old. Has one year left on his deal with a $5M salary and $9M cap hit. Probably could shave a few million off that by converting his base to a bonus, and giving him a significant bonus next offseason to start his new deal.

They could also do the same with Dotson, extend him, and reduce his cap hit this year.

Rams need to slow their roll on locking up dudes too early. They did the same thing with Landman. Let Parkinson play most of the season under his current deal. If he kills it then fine lock him up. If not then they're off the hook, let him leave in FA.

Same with Avila. I am sure he's going to play great. But why give him security when he's been missing time and his play has been a bit up and down. Make him deliver in 2026 then sign him.

Allowing a player to play on a FA contract type situation can be valuable. They have every reason to push their production as far as possible.

Also it lets players know that the dudes who achieve early on will get the early deals. And I realize Avila played well as a rook. But he's not a slam dunk in that regard, at least from my perspective.
