Not sure if anyone remembers but Skow de-cleated and punished one of the whiners on a special teams play in the NFCCG as well as JJ Watt in this last game.

I remember that. We're lucky he didn't get called for helmet-to-helmet on that play, but after some of the cheap shots the 49ers threw our way (Warner), fuck them.

Well, his name is Bennett William Skowronek, and he is 6'3", so he is mostly correct.

Nah. He goes by Ben. Strike one. He is 6'3, which is decidedly NOT 6'5. Strike two. He is entirely incorrect and I call thrid strike looking. He's outta here....

Also, I love me some Dan O, as he is a Stafford Homer of epic proportions, he just biffed it this time.

I respect Dan O. One of the best analysts around. While Skow is being used very differently this year Ill gladly eat crow on my references as a JAG. He appears to be a very promising Swiss Army knife that the Rams need to stay fresh. Go Skow!! I was blinded by Jacob Harris when you were there all along. I apologize for not seeing the big picture for you.

I'm not sure even mcvay saw the big picture for him.

From my perspective Mcvay knew he couldn't run his offense with Skow as the #3 wr. He tried it in week 1 and it wasn't pretty. So out of necessity he had to change things up. Credit to him for working out how to use Skow effectively.

Right, but his name IS Bennett. He may go by Ben, but that doesn't make calling him Bennett wrong. Mostly it would be considered more formal.

BTW, I love the 3rd strike looking. Sit his ass down. LOL

He is the H back that Gibbs used to use. Guys like Clint Didier, more TE/WR than FB, but often lined up in the backfield and blocked for Riggins.

Great move by McVay to force teams to respect him as a WR and a potential 11 personal grouping, forcing an extra DB on the field, but then he lines up in the backfield to play FB against a lighter box.

Skowronek is going to have to bulk up a bit for his own protection if he is going to be the hybrid FB for McVay.

Bottom line in my mind is that McVay has figured out the value of a lead blocker in the run game. I don't think Akers gets that TD without Benny's block.

Skowronek as a TE?

I’ve always wanted Skowronek to add lbs.

I like this role. Cool to see McVay throw these change ups.
