NFL fans when their team loses: "NFL is Rigged!"

NFL fans when their team wins: "Those NFL rigged people are delusional"

while I agree on the ref in the booth, let's look at this from the refs on the field perspective.

You're a 15 year vet and after all this time all of a sudden somebody else starts telling you you are doing your job wrong , reversing calls you have made hundreds of times. Their egos would take a big hit and
there would be a constant turnover in officiating personnel as the more experienced ones would start retiring.

See,
I don’t get that. Th first things refs say is that they can’t see everything, so why not simply see the job as managing the tech as opposed to seeing oneself as being a slave to it?

If you live in the greater Philadelphia and need to wrap up some leftovers, you're out of luck. Reynolds aluminum foil can't be found in any supermarket because Eagle fans have bought it all up.

"The NFL is fixed and the refs implement the script."

"The Chiefs could do nothing in the first half but then score on every drive in the second?"

"They took 4 points away on the D'Vonta Smith catch that was reversed"

"They can't call that penalty on the last drive unless they wanted the Chiefs to win"

"It's a fix!!!"

Well, then at least they fixed it so the Eagles were playing in the SB!

"NO! The Eagles earned their way there!!!"

So they only "fix" the SB?

Assinine.

Geez. While not blatant like fucking Higgins last year - Bradberry pulled at the Chiefs WR not once but twice AND admitted he interferred but hoped they wouldn’t call it. It happened twice in last years Super Bowl in favor of the Rams on their last drive (one blatant and one borderline). So quit fucking crying about one play. No game is won/lost because of one play. Maybe look at the Eagles inability to bring Mahomes (on a severely sprained ankle) down when they needed to.

Bradbury has come out and said it was a penalty and he needs to be better. Philly fans put away the tin foil. Consistent officiating would be great but we can't have everything.

If it's a penalty in the first 10 seconds of the game, it's a penalty in last 10 seconds oof the game.

That’s the crux of the issue.

The NFL doesn’t want a game bogged down by penalties. They also don’t want a game decided by an overlooked penalty.

So their solution is to only enforce rules strictly towards the end of big games. Or so it seems, and it’s failing to build fan confidence.

They should enforce rules strictly for the entirety of all playoff games. Announce it and coaches will start to preach it. Then players will follow suit.

I'm not an Eagles fan by any stretch of the imagination, but this call gave me PTSD. If they called it like this, we'd have had BOTH Super Bowl wins against the Cheatriots.

But what makes it even more unfair to me, is how on Earth do you play DB in this league when you can't count on this call being consistent? Even though he admitted it was holding (good for him!) that's not the issue. It's that they get away with that ALL GAME, then the ref can decide if/when to call it!?! WTF? Tell me that doesn't open the door wide for nefarious intent.

Worst time ever to call that. We were robbed a great last drive, one way or the other. Either Hurts is a hero, or we get another AD type ring moment when the Chief D stops them on 4th down.
