If Seattle goes into Arizona and beats them this next game they will win this division.

Possible but Seattle has the toughest remaining schedule in our division.

Vikes, Packers, Bears and Rams at Rams.

They could lose any or all of those games.

It will be funny if that last game is for all the marbles, of course I would prefer the Rams had wrapped up the division by then.

I would like to see that.

From my easy chair the toughest game for them is vs the Packers and they should be competitive in that one, as opposed to say us vs Buffalo. Vikes are very dependent on high/low reads for their QB, so I think Seattle's a tough matchup for them. Bears are shit. Ironically the Rams at the end of the season might be their second toughest matchup, assuming our OL ever gets their shit together. But the Rams are running the ball consistently right now so they might be ready for a McVay December run.

Point was though that if we lose to Buffalo, which seems likely, and Seattle beats Arizona, then we're two games back and inconsistent as hell ourselves. Most consistent unit in this division is probably Seattle's defense. But you are right this shit could go any direction, I just think this division comes down to Arizona vs Seattle and it will be settled this upcoming weekend.

Which begs the question: how in the world did we lose to the Bears?
Really looking like that could come back and bite us badly...

Yeah that was a bad loss. Probably our worst. I think Miami was also a bad loss, in that they're a fragile team that we couldn't crack because our OL couldn't hold a fucking block past 1.5 seconds.

The only way for a McVay team to lose a lot of regular season games is for the OL to shit the bed. Once it gets past that point where he can't manufacture the fresh downs even he can't find ways to win. It's just a damn shame that every season we have to endure either a slow start by the OL where they put it together and then make a run, or they never put it together. We haven't really had a full season where the OL from start to finish is there doing its job. And that is what you need to do to get a top seed.

Granted he still won a title and should have won a second one. And he wins in the playoffs. But if you're McVay, realizing that the OL is the secret to ensuring that fast start should help him find that combination he needs to get the fast start.

You were right!

Now, do we want them to beat Seattle?
Good Question,

I would say no. Seattle has a tougher schedule afterward, playing 3 of the NFC North teams and us. Cardinals alternatively, play the Patriots, Panthers, Rams, and 9ers.

Here's how it'll play out.

Arizona (6-6; 3-5; 2-1) ( vs Seattle, vs New England, @ Carolina, @ LA Rams, vs San Francisco)....9-8; 5-7 vs NFC; 3-3 in Division
Seattle (7-5; 3-4; 2-2) ( @ Arizona, vs Green Bay, vs Minnesota, @ Chicago, @ Rams).....9-8; 5-7 vs NFC; 3-3 in Division
San Francisco (5-7; 3-5; 1-3) (vs Chicago, vs Rams, @Miami, vs Detroit, @Arizona).......8-9, 5-7 vs NFC; 2-4 in Division
Rams (6-6; 4-5; 2-1) (vs Buffalo, @ San Fran, @ NY Jets, vs Arizona, vs Seattle)...........9-8; 7-5 vs NFC; 5-1 Winner, winner, chicken dinner

The possibilities are endless if we win the division games. Even better if we beat the Jets....and we fucking should!
