the way I understood it was the team takes him of IR and they have 21 days to activate him. if they don't he's done for the year. So they can activate him at any time. I remember people saying 8 weeks but I couldn't find anything that said that.
Yeah ,people were saying eight weeks, but if I remember correctly, his initial IR status was the 6 week version, no?

The original reports were that he couldn't start practicing for 6 weeks and then there were conflicting reports. He had to practice 3 weeks before being activated or they had 3 weeks to activate him. Either way glad the big man is on the way back.

He does look slim (for him) in that practice vid. Makes me think the Rams have had his fat ass on a treadmill since they IRd him.

It's funny people assume you're endorsing what's shared rather than just sharing it.
Yeah... I get it. That's why I said what I did. I don't blame you for putting it out here. Reddit has been a breeding ground for misinformation of all kinds.

I've liked the Robinson signing from the first and said so. He would be a clear upgrade in the middle be it 0T - 3T over Gaines and SJD. I simply feel that Staley thinks everyone is interchangeable and in fact they aren't. You can line anyone up anywhere but it doesn't mean they will play the position well or get the desired effect.

For example, Kromer can play Anchrum at LT but it doesn't mean he will play it well, even though that's where he's got him. Just like they have Evans at RT but he will simply be another Havenstein with slow feet and outmatched by speed. IMO instead of moving AD and whoever is at NT around so much perhaps they should try stunting them to free up AD. AD has exceptional quickness to pull off a stunt and he's been successful when it's been called.

Staley's defense is exceptionally vanilla. The better the offense is the worse it's going to look.

He already runs a lot of games upfront, dude. And most of the moving around on defense has to do with putting Donald on the weakside of the offense. That's you see him and the other DE often flipping when the offensive formation changes at the LOS.

I don't know where I read it, but I remember the defensive coaching staff wanted him to get leaner/lighter.

That's really what has me excited. Thought it was a great signing as we needed a big man next to Donald..... but now seeing him looking leaner and in shape... He could be a real problem. Our D-Line rotation becomes much better.

8 weeks is the norm for what was his injury.

6 weeks mandatory and 2 weeks to get in game shape, hence the 8 weeks by many.

Hey really sounds like he's gonna get some action week 7, but I doubt he plays more than 15 20 downs.

Players on the PUP list may not practice or play the first six weeks of the season. After the sixth week, the player must be allowed to return to practice, placed on injured reserved or released within five weeks.

If the player returns to practice, the team has three weeks to decide to place him on the active roster or on the injured reserve list.

Players on the PUP list do not count against the 53-man roster, but do count against the 90-man roster limit.

What injury? I heard it was a heart condition and he was worried because of Covid.

Ok I shoulda use the word condition. .

Still IR mandatory 6 weeks out, normally 2 weeks for game shape.

Knew I should have stayed away from someone posting why all this 8 week stuff please Excuse Me.

Activating him now is fine since he's on a rotational unit. He may only see a dozen snaps in game one. Maybe he sees more, but the point is he can do as much as he can handle. I'd rather bring him back this way than to wait till he can play 40+ snaps.

He may not be in game shape, but the fact he looks slimmed down some tells us he's been working hard.
