Are you seriously implicating I could forget that? lolDon't forget, Kroenke extended Fisher before he fired him.
And boy was I pissed!Don't forget, Kroenke extended Fisher before he fired him.
Who wasn't? Thankfully, that was righted quickly. And boy was I pissed!
Honest Question:
Given their off-season moves, are you surprised by the Rams' struggles this season?
Were you expecting them to be better? It's OK if the answer is 'Yes'. We have a regular poster that insisted for months ... right-up until a couple weeks ago ... that the 2023 Rams were a playoff team.
No; HOWEVER, the first few weeks raised my expectations.
I was bamboozled.
More like a small waste can fire. Are we not a dumpster fire?
Everything they did from March until now has been about getting the Salary Cap in order. In early-March, Management even said this is what they were going to do. They chose to use the word “Re-set” instead of re-tool, re-work or God-forbid, re-build.
I understand the current frustration of losing. I understand the timing of it. Losing sucks.
I also understand the disappointment of where the Team appears to be at this moment.
What I do Not understand is feeling the disappointment right now. The time to be disappointed was in the off-season, when the Rams were making all the moves and decisions that put them where they are right now.
When Jalen Ramsey was traded for a third round draft choice and a mere $5.6M of cap relief, with a cost of $19.6M in Dead-$ … THAT was the time to feel disappointment because that’s when the 2023 Season was destined to be a frustrating year.
I don’t entirely disagree with your assessment. However, right there is where we disagree. Those games raised expectations in literally everyone.
I would love to see them never win again, however, now with just 2 wins, they are getting too close to drafting Caleb Williams. Hopefully, they will not be able to do that, but there have been rumblings that this will be the last year in New England for Bill Belichick.
I think the extension was a thank you so now when I fire you, don't let the door hit you in the ass. They just extended him with a BIG extension… which is weird because there’s reportedly been significant tensions between Belichick and Kraft… which is why the rumors…
But in order to jettison Coach B now, it’d cost a ton… so who knows? He’s probably gonna stick around. That said, Kraft is getting older and may not care as time is more valuable than money esp for him
Snead will trade the Patriots a 2030 7th round pick so they can make Belichick be the Guy wearing the Ramsy costume

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS
The news of Bill Belichick's contract extension shocked many people, and many didn't think it was the right move with the New England Patriots' current record.
But now, one NFL Insider has shed more light on the situation.
"It's a new contract for Bill Belichick that puts him under contract at least this year and next year. That show of support from owner Robert Kraft and the team before the season. That's the contractual end of it," Ian Rapoport reported before Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts. "My understanding is Robert Kraft, the owner, is not inclined to fire Bill Belichick midseason, which is unbelievable and amazing that we are even discussing this. But given the record, given the last couple of years, at least it is a topic in New England in the airwaves and elsewhere."
"There's a lot of reasons why it makes no sense to fire Bill Belichick midseason. First of all, it's the greatest coach of all time. Sometimes these guys are treated differently," Rapoport added. "Another part of this is functionally if Belichick is somehow, someway going to coach elsewhere next year, Patriots have him under contract. They would at least want some sort of compensation to make this happen."
And he asked a very important question to conclude this piece of news.
"If you are going to fire him, what does that actually do," Rapoport asked. "Does it give you a jump on a process where you may have his successor already in the building in Jerod Mayo?"
The Athletic's Dianna Russini also reported this morning that she has talked to some people that believe Belichick and the Patriots could agree on a mutual parting of ways after the season.
Yet, with him reportedly under contract, it seems a trade it more likely.
The Patriots have a lot of things to figure out once the season concludes, and the head coach situation will likely be the first they address.
Yeah -- his post-game press conferences are much more enjoyable after a brutal loss.I just hope they DON'T fire Bellicheat, I want him to endure next year as well. The team is so devoid of talent it's laughable. If they actually end up with first pick wouldn't it be fucking hilarious if Caleb returned to college just avoid New England?
