The Rams are never in cap hell because of:

1. They found a back door in cap hell. It's called kicking the can down the road via voidable years.
2. As long as there is no end to the road then they can just keep kicking it.
3. As long as the cap continues to rise that dictates the length of the road.

Get outta the way, a new dynasty has been born. The last Super Bowl was it's coming out party.
Everyone could see if the Rams had been at full strength that Super Bowl would have been a blowout. Only the refs allowing that 3rd quarter TD kept it close. With one arm tied behind their back (an understrength offense) they still beat the Bungles.

OBJ, will be followed by a splash edge signing, I can feel it coming. They just need to clear enough cap via Kupp's contract.

and perhaps most importantly, a rich owner who is willing to spend loads of money on those signing bonuses so they can kick the can down the road

I dont think people realize who Sean McVay..IS.

Can you imagine, if Sean had left to do TV, then proclaimed himself "recharged" and ready to Coach again, what he would actually fetch on the open market???

Would SOME team offer 5 yrs 150 Million??? 10 Million more per than the highest paid Coach?? I would.

The amount of assistants Sean pools into the League is astounding, and still hasn't been adequately codified by the masses.

Best Coach in Football right now (yeah, I said it) One of the Best All-Time when its said and done.

Success breeds hate. This team is already better than the Greatest Show on Turf years. Just compare the records.

McVay's 5 years as HC

2 Super Bowl appearances, winning one
5 consecutive winning seasons.
3 division titles
4 years qualified for playoffs, with the one year they didn't due to a missed FG from a makeable distance which is the only year without double-digit wins

What is scary is that this team is now loaded for the next two to three years.

I don’t see a lot of difference in the gsot records and McVay’s, McVay does have 2 SB appearances and the gsot only had one and there was the year St. Louis didn’t make the playoffs but they seem pretty similar. The big difference is that the gsot rams were in disarray at the end of their run where McVay is in pretty good position to at least make the playoffs and maybe more for a couple years.

No, they had two Super Bowl appearances ... 1999 and 2001.

Agree about the similarities. 1999-2003 GSOT vs. McVay's Rams (2017-2021)

McVay / 5 years / 55 wins / 4 playoffs / 9-7 in non-playoff-year / 2 Super Bowls / 1 Lombardi

GSOT / 5 years / 56 wins / 4 playoffs / 7-9 in non-playoff-year / 2 Super Bowls / 1 Lombardi

I’ve tried to erase that game from my memory.

This NFC West Division has been an absolute monster of 4 really good teams for a number of years with McVay still kicking butt.
Look at the 1999 division.

I recall reading that he's the highest paid in the league right now btw, at around $15-18 iirc. Not sure if that was an accurate article though. But in that scenario you suggest by the time he returns it would be for a lot more.

Once again if I'm Kroenke I would let him know he's got a Team President or GM job waiting for him the day he wants to quit coaching. And I'd pay him enough to keep him out of TV. You simply cannot have enough guys like him in your organization. Keeping him in house even in a different role is worth paying for IMO. He'd quickly be one of the best around and I don't want him going to SF to serve in the same role his grandfather did.

No team wearing red white and blue was going to lose that game after 9/11.

The halftime show was their colors, FFS.

I said that in October of that year and got routinely bagged on for it.

After the Super Bowl... those same folks came around to what I was sayin'
