Do you have to be charged to get suspended? Also, people do call the police to "prevent" something from happening. Maybe a lot of screaming, threats, the cell phone getting whacked leaving some marks...someone may have thought lets call the cops now before this gets worse.
 
The league will do an independent investigation. If charges are dropped, that does not automatically equate the NFL not imposing a suspension, particularly because this moron has been suspended before for similar acts of stupidity. Hope we do something about our LT going forward after this season.
