It's interesting with the Rams... they do go for big swings.. but we have to remember the smaller deals as well.
Corbett.. Sullivan.. Claiming someone like Darious Williams... Getting CJ Anderson.

I just feel like the play at the moment.. when it comes to interior lineman and RBs is looking for the bargains.. the guys that just aren't working out.
That's why I suggested Antonio Gibson... he got passed by a rookie and McKissic. He's got issues.. but that's why someone with that talent is available.

I don't know the Oline marketplace well enough to single out a guy that I could say.. "him, that team doesn't know how to use him."

But there's less than zero chance the Giants are moving him at this point.
That's not true at all. He's on the last year of his deal, they have salary cap issues and also have to figure out what they're doing with QB. They'd be crazy to not trade him.

They'd be crazy TO trade him.
They've had one winning season in the last decade and he's their Todd Gurley.

Makes less than zero sense from a football and business perspective.

And, remember how "cap issues" can disappear... look no further than our Rams.

Gibson is very talented, but I'm not sure Washington would trade him for next to nothing. I think the Browns may present the best opportunity with D'Ernest Johnson and Kareem Hunt both set to hit FA after the year.

I don’t think this is due to a potential trade. His trade value right now would be virtually zero.
Maybe not zero since he is rushing behind this O-Line that has been different in every game this season. And can't block for shit.

The Rams vs Panthers game won't be on in my area. For the first time my local FOX affiliate is going for the morning game and the 49ers.
So I'll be at the sports bar getting harrassed for being a Rams fan in 9er Raider land
lol

they would be crazier to sign him to a Todd Gurley contract after the season, which is what they would have to do in order to keep him
Zero sense? Cmon man, think about it

Zero sense.

what I think is that running behind a subpar offensive might be the reason for Akers not so good performance. He is not tradeable at this point, wouldn't get anything for him, so I'll believe his absence is actually personal until proven otherwise.
train
I remember reading that Cam ran behind a subpar OL in College and managed to get yards after contact. Ironic

Commodes sucks, I think they should have changed their name to the Washington War Pigs
War Pigs would have kicked so much ass. Plus it would have had a connection to the old hogs. :thumbsup1:

I thought Akers was heading to the pro bowl this year and was going to make us even better. It’s been frustrating but I am not ready to give up on him while he is a ram. I see your point but maybe, if so, he needs more time, better blocking and increasing confidence. Like so much or what is going wrong we can hopefully turn things around with more luck and burst into form when it matters most

Here’s hoping :)

I've always liked Jacobs but he's another type of back that McVay doesn't prefer. McVay wants athleticism and threat in space.

This is why he let Michel roll out for peanuts.
I'd take Jacobs over all the RBs. Dude breaks tackles and is 3rd in the league this year. McVay would be dumb to turn him down if he was available for a reasonably cheap trade. Only problem I see though is he'd more likely be a 1 year rental if we did get him as I can see Jacobs wanting a good pay day.

To anyone who's thinking we should go get CMC, can we just put that one to bed? A team that has had bad luck with RB injuries should not be tempting fate by trading for a RB with an extensive injury history.
Depends what Carolina is asking for him. Can't just dismiss it. Not like our RBs are setting the world on fire.

Actually Hunt and Jacobs are my top 2 but it all depends on what teams want compensation wise. Saquon is a pipe dream since 4-1 teams don't usually trade their star players.
