Was never a HUGE Rush fan, but definitely liked some of their stuff. Hold your fire was part of the soundtrack of one of the best summers of my life in 1988. It was a mix of that, Back in Black, Appetite for Destructuon, Licensed to Ill.... Etc...

1988 was a good year. I got out of the Navy while @Merlin was still chipping decks and painting everything haze gray. Dodgers also won the World Series, the first since 1981. It was a very good year.

Think I was still due for my first mind-expanding trip to the Phillipines back in those days. Oh the innocence of youth. :laugh3:

Definitely my favorite band of the 80s barely edging out Van Halen, eh. Everyone talks about drum God Pearty, but Getty Lee is also an underrated bassist.
Geddy Lee is amazing.
Often playing complex bass lines, singing and playing keyboard chords with his feet on pedals.
Amazing bass player....very creative.

Anyone get tickets?
Missed out on the pre-sale and after sitting in the queue for an hour the only tickets available were in Toronto
Buddy of mine just paid $1,600 for 2 decent seats at Madison Square Garden

Can we add when was your first Rush concert yo this?
1975....Medford Armory....I was a sophmore in HS....went to see KISS and was absolutely blown away by the opening act RUSH....as a drummer in a band I was mesmerized by the Professor on the Kit... I saw them several times since...going so far as to fly to Vegas to do it...always a great show and if you can still find it on Netflix or some other streaming service, the excellent documentary on their story...I actually bought the 2 disc DVD...i still watch it from time to time...

I was blessed enough to see Rush twice. '82 in Fresno California after they did Signals, (Subdivisions) and in Greenville South Carolina when they did their Balls of Fire tour.
Both concerts were amazing but their Balls of Fire concert was the opener of that tour and they really seem to be enjoying themselves as they were smiling a lot. :)
It is cool watching Geddy play the keyboards with one hand and the bass with the other simultaneously.
