The twenty-third anniversary of the most infamous attack on our soil since Pearl Harbor. I just wanted to post that to remember those who died.

The people on the planes.

The people in the Twin Towers.

The people in the Pentagon.

And now the first responders who are dying from cancer given by the building's collapse.

Also, to remember @Angry Ram 's point on the innocent people targeted for no reason other than looking similar to the terrorists.

So many people suffered that day, and yet...so many people came together in unity, so many countries gave everything to us in our hour of need. So many stories of bravery in the Towers, on Flight 93. Let us never forget them all.

How the World Came Together

One act that is not mentioned in this link: a Kenyan Maasai tribe, after hearing about 9/11 from one of their members who studied in New York, gave us a gift of fourteen cows, cows being regarded as absolutely sacred to the Maasai people, representing life, nourishment and wealth. We couldn't accept the cows themselves due to import restrictions, but we accepted the gift in spirit, and they were well cared for by the Maasai on behalf of the American people.

Just thought we needed something heartwarming.
