Honestly just wish they did get one but it is what is at the moment. Hopefully we see quite a bit of improvement from our secondary because if we do, man would our defense be much better. I'm now hoping we do get Ramsey back.
Ramsey isn’t a plus cb anymore he’s just a name we’re ok at cb ya making much of nothing Remember at times the dline wasn’t getting to the qb they will be ok

He was the 8 th best corner last year. He's still better than anyone on the Rams roster. But he’s likely too expensive.

When he left he was getting torched and they been mentioning he might switch to safety
He was playing the Star. He wasn’t playing outside corner. When a big part of the responsibility is to play the run it’s easy to see how a guy may not read the play right and get beat. How many pass break ups does Quentin lake get from that position?

So far the only people saying he should move to safety are fans.

I seen it on tv that him and Miami coaches were thinking about the switch

He actually is, but I get it, you don't like the guy. He's better than any CB we have but we'll simply agree to disagree.

I'm guessing Paul will be the first "starter" from this group. I think he's a better prospect than Speights was, more instinctive vs the pass and feels quicker in his change of direction.

Speights has two advantages, those being a full year in the system, as well as an ability to stop runners in their tracks. For his size he is very strong.

Both are close on their 40 time. I think ideally Paul & Speights are the pairing on early downs. But the big question is who comes off on passing downs. And in that comparison I think Paul's pass game instincts will win him the job.

Oh and btw I would not rule out Dolac in any regard. He's faster than both of them, though he played weaker competition so we'll have to wait and see how he translates.

Which CB on the roster right now do you think is better than Ramsey?
None IMO.
I was not a fan of letting him go with all we gave up for him. You give up the farm you need to ride the wheels off him.

And how does he compare to someone like Asante Samuel Jr?
I like Ramsey and he likes McVay but it can’t be a trade for The House. The sports car in the driveway maybe but not The House.

Oh I agree, I wouldn't even give up the sports car. Just because he's still a good player doesn't mean he's worth his current salary.

2025 NFL Draft: Insane stat shows new Rams LB is great in coverage

New Los Angeles Rams linebacker Chris Paul Jr. could make a name himself early in his NFL career.

Not only does Paul join a shallow inside linebacker room that could see a new starter in 2025, but he also already proved in college to be one of the best tacklers and coverage linebackers in the nation.

Paul did not allow a touchdown in 665 coverage snaps this past season, per ESPN Research via Rams PR. That feat is impressive on its service, but even more because Paul played in the star-studded SEC and also finished with 84 combined tackles this past season.

Paul will likely start out on the bench for the Rams, but the fifth-rounder could quickly supplant the linebackers ahead of him on the depth chart.

Omar Speights is a 2024 undrafted free agent, Nate Landman is a free-agent pickup from the Atlanta Falcons and Troy Reeder is a veteran who was only recently re-signed. That isn't an inspiring group on its surface and is ripe for a player like Paul to jump in and take over.

Our UDFA Shaun Dolac had 5 pd's to go with 5 int's including a pick 6
168 TKLS and 6 Sacks - Lower competition sure.
Rams think it will translate and Baldy absolutely loves this kid
Can't wait to watch our ILB room evolve. It's been a weakness for tooo long.
I am excited ,but know patience is needed. As needed with Speights last year

Let the rookies acclimate the first half of the season. Then I think Paul, Stewart and Ferguson will have significant roles in the second half of the season.
