I love having Kyren playing through a free agency season with hunger to get paid. Rams signing him could have blown up in their faces. Best way to handle him is tell him to fix the fumbling issue, let him play out his contract and prove he can do that, then go from there. If you still want to sign him then try to do that.

Meanwhile stack that RB room with competition. This is the way. Rams played the situation this time perfectly. Ball is in his court, and if he does win that job again he's going to be in fine form for us.
Kyren is fine, This is more of an insurance move due to Corum prob taking more snaps with Kyren. Hunter will slide in a Special teams role most likely.

Not sure "looser" is the term. I suppose in some ways we are. We tend to give people a fair amount of rope as long as they are not denigrating the team, the organization, or other members of this board. We don't give a shit about foul language and don't allow politics or religion. The site was founded on the idea that "homer" is actually a term of endearment - not a criticism. The idea was that this place was supposed to be the anti-Post Dispatch and more like a bunch of buddies shooting the shit about the Rams over a couple beers. It's generally when someone messes with that vibe that we step in. We encourage people to read the "Terms and rules" that you'll find at the bottom of the page.

All that said, have a great time here. We hope you enjoy it as much as we have for all these years.

Cheers,

Stu

I say continue to run the shit out of Kyren. And keep giving carries to Blake Corum. The new kid from Auburn, Jarquez Hunter, can pick up the leftovers. Let Kyren walk after this year. Hopefully he has a good year and nets us a nice comp pick. Then let Corum and the new kid battle it out. Personally, I like the new kid. He seems to have it all... strength, yards-after-contact, shiftiness, can catch out of the backfield, and SPEED. We have a very nice RB room. Go Rams!

I mean that article is from two years ago and nothing since so I'd say the matter is handled, teams are fully aware of the situation, and old news at this point.

My take is if he was even a hint of guilty of something, he would've been Isaiah Bonded right out of the draft.
Yeah, Hunter didn't miss any games at Auburn so if he was suspended, it wasn't for long. Bond was accused of rape. Hunter can only be accused of being an unintended porn star. I can only hope if he had no knowledge of the video, somebody beat the shit out of the a-hole who filmed and released it.

I was thinking before that we'd run the new RB first half, get a lead, then grind down the other team in the 2nd half w/ KW.
But I'm thinking now the reverse: grind down the defense w/ KW in the first, then run Hunter out in the 2nd after they are gassed.
Anyway, whatever -- welcome to the Rams, Hunter!
Though it was painful watching Tuten get drafted elsewhere, I think he was faster than Hunter. Hunter's 4.45 speed is faster than what we have now, but not by much. Either way, love having a stacked RB room & not having to worry about a star RB going down & being forced to get a RB off the scrap heap to limp through the playoffs. All 3 of KW, BC & JH can be 3 down backs, as soon as JH learns how to block that is lol.
But that was the knock against Gurley, and look how he turned out. Great blocker. I have all the confidence that JH will be a great blocker too.

The 40 time can be deceiving. When Kyren gets out in the open field, he ALWAYS gets caught from behind or ran down by the safety.
If Hunter gets in the open field, it's going to most likely be a TD.

The more I watch, the more I like him. There is such a physicality and element to his game we haven't seen at RB in years.

He can knock you on your ass, of bounce off of you and shoot out of a cannon. He's really fun.

I think it ends up being a much better pick than people think.

Thanks so much for the warm welcome Stu. I consider myself a positive person & a total Rams "homer." On the other Rams blog that I am a member of, many on that site seem to enjoy complaining about the team, coaches & GM. Not my cup of tea.

The other thing that bodes well for the future with Hunter is Auburn couldn’t throw the ball for shit. He had to run into a lot of stacked boxes. That’s not typically going to be the case in this offense.

For all the talk of adding speed to the running room, are we forgetting that Corum is almost two years removed from his injury and likely to regain some of that burst that made him even more special? We have quietly built one of the best RB rooms in the league. Have two monsters at LG and RG, and will, we have been told by Snead, be playing more 12 personnel.

I for one cannot wait to watch us knock the snot out of other teams defenses. Our division foes are expecting it, just look at how much capital they are investing in trying to counter us. Even so, we have the experience, talent, and coaching to make that more difficult than they can handle. Go Rams

I'm excited about this RB for some reason. He could make Kyren scream, "YIKES!"

lol I'm sure he won't, he's not lost his RB1 role just yet, unless Hunter sets the world on fire in pre-season.
Kyren is a top 5 RB in this league. I know he has his flaws, but he consistently makes yards out of nothing. So many times I'd watch TGII or S-Jax run right into the back of his OL while the flanks were wide open. It was maddening. KW sees holes on an uncanny level.
That's why he will be so deadly paired with JH: run KW in the 1st half, grind down the DL, then blow them up in the 2nd half w/ JH.
In 2026, if KW walks, do the same thing w/ BC & JH.

I guess we'll find out! Let the best player start!
