Lots of fights in today's Saints vs. Cowboys joint practice.
Sorta makes me wonder if the Thursday practice with the Saints is going to happen.

Shame about Williams, nice developmental prospect
Most first round QBs have more than 14 starts in college. Simpson is a unique case. The track record for QBs with his level of collegiate experience has been overwhelmingly bad this century.

When it comes to running backs, believe your eyes.
Conners has elusiveness, suddenness, and really good leg drive. He's good in a phone booth. He is very good as a receiver coming out of the backfield. Reminds me a bit of a rookie Kyren Williams. I don't think he'll make it to the PS. So it might come down to he or Rivers. Rivers probably WOULD make it to the PS. Hunter will probably be cut. He looks the same as last year. He's 1 speed. He has no elusiveness. He might be top-end fast, but he is a little slow to build up speed. Looks less than average as an NFL quality RB.

If Connors is not kept, he'll be a 49er. I could see Shanahan grabbing him and putting him right behind CMC. Don't let that happen.
My money is on neither one of them wanting Simpson to be QB2 this year. I think they like him as QB2 next year and a potential starter by year 3, but I’d bet anything in the world that McVay doesn’t want Simpson a snap away from having to play this year. I think the rep distribution in practice and McVay saying “I’m not working with him Dave Ragone is” every time he’s asked about Simpson is pretty indicative of where things stand.

Oh please oh please Rams - get this kid on the 53. We got no one to back up Ford. And Ford has been huuuuge for our run D.
This kid looks like he belongs already--granted he's not working against 1st stringers, but good NT's are hard to find.
My main concern the entire off-season has been for tackle depth on the o-line, I actually like the depth the Rams have on the interior but am particularly concerned about left tackle. Jackson is a high-risk player at this point so I think the Rams need to have a better contingency in place at left tackle.
Note: He should be considered high risk just due to the blood clot issue that could arise at any time but when you add in the potential for a suspension as well, he becomes a very high-risk player IMO. Note: Even if he evades a suspension for this latest incident, he now has No latitude for any future events that may occur and let just say history is good predictor of future events.
I like Jackson as a player and I think he might actually be criminally underrated for his play on the field but I think he is a roster time bomb.
At first blush it almost seems to be a blind spot by our Rams. They have tried to somewhat address the issue without the expenditure of cap draft capital and cap space. They tried Humphreys in 2025 and he was just plain bad. In 2024 they had McClendon as a swing T and his spot play at LT was also a disaster. Part of the problem is just the nature of the position. Just the physical traits needed to play LT really limit the player pool. There are just not a lot of very large men with the athleticism to play tackle in the NFL. I think therein lies the rub. With the limited talent pool, it generally requires a bigger commitment of draft capital to acquire a good one. Note: I am not sure some people appreciate how rare it is to find a starting quality tackle as an undrafted free agent like the Rams did with Jackson.
I know they do not want to commit a lot of resources to a backup spot but it may come back to bite them. The Rams traded up to get Hamilton last year to compte in a deep D-tackle room and now he may be on the roster bubble especially if Donald returns. The same goes for Hunter at RB. The team makes moves to get those depth guys at positions with much deeper talent pools yet they almost seem unwilling to do the same for tackle depth. Overall, I cannot question what the Rams have done in building such a deep and talented team. They know better than me what they have in the clubhouse but color me still concerned about tackle depth at this point because it is such an important position.
On another note, I have seen little mention of the fact that AJ Acuri did not play in the first preseason game. That actually may be very telling.

I have seen mixed reviews on Keenan so far. Some are good while some are actually bad. His PFF score was bad and some posters here were not impressed with him either. I did not focus on him and have (will) not rewatched the game.
Well the tell is AJ Acura is probably going to be the LT again.He continues to Work Hard & ascend as a Ram.He’s probably been a Ram before Alaric ?
Your missed The Fact The Rams just drafted a Tackle pretty high the Draft 2026.
Probably between him and Hamilton. Seemed like I noticed Hamilton more in the Chiefs game but wasn't paying super close attention to players.
I did fail to mention Trost but for me he is now a non-factor at LT with his injury. As far as allocating resources to LT, which was more the focus of my post, he has always been more associated with RT. Even when he was in the conversation, he was considered more RT depth. They also had him playing RT, not LT in the game.
Regarding Acuri, he gets little to no mention as a real option for backup left tackle. Evey time he is mentioned, the expectation by most here seems to be panic at the mention of him actually starting a game at LT. Most consider him to be a PS player at best. I personally am still intrigued by him and even more so by the fact that he did not play against the Chiefs. Hopefully his developmental arc is akin to McClendon’s. What did you see from Acuri when you attended camp?
Also when Havenstein was on BLEV he talked about LT depth a little and he compelty faileld to mention Arcuri.
I don't disagree, but how many QB's get drafted at 13 to a team that has the reigning MVP at QB and is favored to win the SB? Do the Rams hinge that kind of expectation on a rookie? If they do, it will speak volumes about him.
