We played a ton of nickel last year and we led the league in dime. That's only going to increase with the additions of McDuffie and Watson.
Get your best 11 on the field as often as possible. Our base with two ILB isn't our best 11.

Yes, Rams played a ton of dime with Jaylen McCullough playing dime-backer and playing it quite well. In essence, nickel but with JM at the other LB spot or in a typical DB position.

What is a good example of a nickel and dime defense with this influx of talent?

I would expect it's McDuffle at field. Watson at boundary. Lake in the slot. You know who at both safety spots and McCulough at dimebacker with Landman at MLB. Though I wonder if there will be times with Lake playing safety from depth and taking over Kinchens spot and McDuffie moving into slot. Then the question becomes who plays field CB.
Honestly I could be wrong about Watson and McDuffie, those spots may be switched on the outside. I haven't looked where they played with Chiefs.
Lake/Curl - safety, McD - slot, Watson - Boundary, Forbes - field CB?

I don’t see $$ being a hurdle. Donald being more of a role player should temper his expectations on any back breaking contract. Donald being an on field and off field force will ensure the Rams more than fairly compensate him (and maybe reward him well with some performance bonuses).Tell Snead & Co, to find some more kindling in that wallet...

Not by much.
a couple inches taller.....which, given the position and style of play may not be an advantage. Weight is basically a wash.
Keenan is a 7th round pick. He is in for a fight to make the roster. Learning his craft etc behind someone similar like Poona is a big advantage.
He has a long, long, long way to go to take anything but rotational snaps away from Ford.
