Although not popular, I can see the Rams trying to jump up if they really like Love that much if this is the case. Personally, I think if the Commodes pass on Love though, that possiblity increases quite a bit more. Not really sure McVay could stay away from a toy that shiny.
Possibly. I'm just not sure anymore that Love is worth moving up that far to get. I just watched Mike Washington Jr.'s highlights, and at 6'1 / 223lbs he has 4.33 speed - bigger & faster than Love, and technically he can catch passes out of the backfield, too. Love is billed as a "complete back" who's able to protect the QB, but this can be taught. MW just seems like he's more decisive than Love, too--even a little bit of hesitation won't work in the NFL, the Edges & OLB's are just too fast.
All that said - at this point I really don't see anyone worth moving up for, and in fact, my ideal scenario is they trade down to the 20 - 23 range to get Bell / Concepcion in order to move up in the 2nd round & get J-Rod.

Love is worth trading up for, but only if he falls to the latter half of the top 10. Other than that its stay put or trade back.

Was wondering if Malik Benson would be a good day three pick as he returned kicks also this past year. Probably won't make it that far with his pro day performance. He'd be a nice replacement for Tutu as the speed option and could be a return man too.

Yep biggest knock on him is he's goofy as all fuck. Gonna be funny to see him with Raiders nation. :laugh3:

Strictly my opinion: I love Puka as player but the off field stuff is starting to become a bit much. Obviously management has noticed. I would be quite surprised if he gets another contract here. I now think the number 13 pick is either traded for AJ Brown or drafts his replacement. The self destruction seems to leak out a little more each day. I don't trust Puka enough to pay him at this point.

The off the field stuff is just a tiny part of the equation for me. I struggle to see why any team should pay any WR the money JSN just received. The position can just be filled so much easier than others, IMO.

Mina Kimes talks with Mike Golic, Jr. about the biggest remaining needs for the Rams by saying they're the team with arguably the least amount of needs in the NFL. She cites WR, TE, OT depth and QB (future) with LB also as a possible need. With the Rams addressing their primary need at CB in the offseason with a vengeance, the aforementioned positions of need are mostly complimentary pieces, depth or to address the future.

Both Kimes & Golic, Jr. are excited about the Rams possibly adding to the wide-receiving corps of Nacua, Adams & Whittington. At first, Kimes figured the Rams would have their pick of WRs after Carnell Tate before realizing that the Browns and Dolphins may also address that position ahead of them before the 13th overall pick. Both figured Makai Lemon would be available among the next tier of wide receivers but had concerns of duplicative overlap in skills offered by Nacua & Adams. Denzel Boston was briefly mentioned among the available next-tier WRs. Apparently, Tate and Jordyn Tyson are in their top tier of receivers.

Golic, Jr. thinks OT depth is the most important area to address while acknowledging that it is a luxury. He's concerned for the sake of Stafford and wants to do as much as possible to preserve his health and productivity. I personally wouldn't complain if Monroe Freiling was selected with that in mind given that he's my personal favorite prospect among the pool of the possibly available. Kimes also mentioned including the Rams on Sadiq watch with regards to tight ends despite the recent drafting of Terrance Ferguson with Higbee getting up there in age.

Kimes is an unapologetic Seahawks superfan. I doubt she puts much time or energy into assessing the Rams needs. As evidenced by listing TE as a need but not mentioning the Rams thin CB corp beyond McDuffie/Watson. And I’m confident is stating she’s not excited by any possible improvements of the Rams.

Nate Tice just said something that we have heard in the past but worth repeating, in an average year the draft has 14-16 players with a 1st round grade. Last year he had the number at 18. This year, 7.

This is significant. Out of that 7 how many of them are WR's?

1?
None?
