Ask Trent Green what he thinks about preseason injuries.
Oh you can name one guy who had never started for the Rams and most likely would not have won a Super Bowl like Warner did that year.

How many preseason games did other Rams starting QBs play for four decades prior to that without getting hurt?

"The little they do"... okay.

Injuries may not be "more likely" to happen.. but more games present more opportunities to get injured. Games that mean nothing.

They may or may not have been considered... but they are now and organization's literally have medical teams to determine if guys can play. Guys aren't just saying.. "I'm hurt."
And, their opinions are absolutely affected by the money being paid.

We'll probably never know for sure as most minor injuries go unreported. Today, with seventeen + real game to last through, I'm sure most players don't make it through the season unscathed .

His dad tweeted that he was injured.
Maybe we need a "Player Parent Inside Scoop" thread and update that shit right after McVay is done bullshitting us around in his presser.

You’re both super awesome fans so lets bury the hatchet.

Obviously a tough one for Spoon.... As far as replacing him.....I think we got the answer to that from this game. When Spoon went out, Durant was outside in our base defense, and Lake moved to CB in Nickel with Kichens coming in.

Darious got on the field late, but he was not the first option when Spoon went down.

My guess is that it stays that way moving forward..... With your back up CBs staying Williams and Wallace..... and adding another CB for depth in Spoon's spot..

Now I know there's a decent list of Free Agent CBs out there....some of bigger names have age and injuries ... honestly I wouldn't go that route... if you wanted to get a vet, you could make a trade towards the deadline....

Cam Lampkin is on our practice squad and played well in the preseason...he could fill Spoon's spot...as could AJ Green who's on our practice squad as well, and has more size than Lampkin

or you could get someone from another team's practice squad.... and there are some decent one's out there....practice squad guys to me give us a better option because they're younger, and have been practicing, and recently playing in the preseason.....sure unsigned free agents are working out, but they're not going to be game ready like practice squad guys....

Agree to work with what they got but look to add some juice by trade deadline. I thought they’d need more help at Edge but it looks like Stewart is stepping up just nice.

Screw it, sign whichever one of these 4 practice squad CBs the scouts like best:

Brandon Johnson
Parry Nickerson
Eli Ricks
Ambry Thomas

You can find them all currently on the Eagles practice squad.

Or just troll everyone and sign Eli Apple

Here's one list of current FA CBs who are available

I usually like Sharp Football, but Asante Samuel, Jr. at the top???

Dude won't be ready until October, if at all, because that's when they'll be able to determine whether his spinal fusion surgery was successful. When I hear of a football player with spinal fusion surgery and nobody knows, at this time, that the surgery has been successful, I'm not prioritizing that dude for anything.

I'd go for Ricks, if I had to choose one of the guys you mentioned. He got released by the Eagles on the 10th, and he's the youngest of the group. He wouldn't be my first choice, but if those four are the only options...well, yeah.
