The secondary has not been bad of late except for the Panther game, where particularly Forbes had a terrible game. Other than that, they've gone up against some exceptional WRs or pretty mobile QBs like Brissett who can buy time.

Against the Lions the 1st half was rough but Shula made some nice adjustments at halftime.

It's gonna be touch and go in the rain against Seattle because we know inclement weather, like the wind and rain on Thurday, favors the WRs on both teams.

Defensive front needs to dominate this Seahawks line tonight.

I wish people would understand that a defense can't play great for 4 full quarters. Every defense gets tired eventually. The offense has to control the ball.

Well...blew my theory out of the water.
The defense gave up two big TD plays and STs gave up a 3rd. That was 23 of their 30 points in regulation. I don't blame them. And yes, while we had won the time of possession stat, in the 4th quarter and OT, we didn't. Short week, that last drive, the pass rush got tired.

Defense is good enough to win it all - but far from dominant. Given up 30 plus points 3 of last 4 games.

But the offense and stafford are what is elite about this team this year.
Yeah and this elite offense got stalled at 30 points for the longest. Total team failure.

Seahawks have a better defense because their secondary is not as reliant on the rush. Rams defense is too rush reliant and this will need to be fixed next offseason.

We have the better offense. But their defense took the run game away after Dotson went out and had quick pressure on Stafford.

Nothing has changed. We will win the games our defensive front wins the LOS.

Two 1st round picks. With Forbes crashing down to earth, I think 1 has to be a corner unless we have plans to address it via free agency. Don't know who the options are this year.

When was Forbes ever good?

He's always been average at his best and below average for the better part of the season. But last nights game wasn't on him at all. It was our ST's and our inept offense in the 4th quarter.

Special teams' failures I want Blackburn gone, special teams have played a big part in all the Rams losses. Also, would like to see McVay be a little more like Martz with the lead late in these games. I just hope they address these issues before the playoffs.

sorry but when you score 37 pts and have over 500 yards - can't really blame the offense.

Even with the rough 4th quarter we drove into FG range in regulation.

Yes you can especially since they're the strongest unit. As the strongest unit, they have the primary responsibility of carrying the team. You can't stall four drives in a row after a lead. And they wouldn't stall like that if the coaches stopped changing up how they're calling the game.

The defense sucked overall but 7 of those points should be credited to the D since the offense scored from 1 yard line.

It was a total team failure.

if you are up 16 with 8 min left in the game you should can hold the ball for about 2 min even without getting a 1st down. That leaves the other team about 4 min to score two touchdowns - about impossible.

Yes you can score 50 points but if your first drive in overtime is a 3 'n out and the other team wins by a FG the offense failed. This is football.

I don't know why fans have this need to place a primary blame. There are games where one unit sucks more than the rest and are the reason why teams lose. But most losses it's a list of shit the team has to fix.

Rams defense played like shit. They got handled up front. They were not up to the task to stop Seattle's offense.

But the offense also played like shit in key drives where we needed them. And to some extent they seemed ok with that, even though all of us probably knew that many stalled drives were going to cost us. Their pass pro was non-existent other than a few snaps here and there, where the Rams made plays. And their run game potency dried up as Seattle adjusted to Dotson being out.

Also not having Adams was a huge hit. These other dudes there's a ton of dropoff. That's not schematic. That's player quality.

I get the logic but I disagree with and detest the approach. I don't believe in playing scared or conservative until later in the game. At the 5 minute mark? Ok. But before that when your offense is moving the ball at will, keep going.

How many leads are we going to lose this year before we recognize that games and momentum can shift quickly? A 16 point lead is still only two possessions. Your analysis above doesn't allow for huge mistakes on defense or special teams, which is exactly what happened.

Nah, if you have a dominant offensive unit, Step On Their Throat!
