????It was the same type of coaching experience I had with Coach Elway and Coach Gilbert.
I call Bullshit. You are the most polite Troll I have run across, but you are just coming up with the most wild ass opinions you can think of. I don't even think you were alive back then. So why don't you and your AI go find another place to play.I respectfully disagree
Even with the great defensive team we had during the SB Run, It didn't have that persona of a bunch of young cast offs pulling it together and becoming a great defensive unit like our current defensive group, and that all has to do with Shula. He's brought a unique mentality and identification to this defense.... almost similar to the "steel curtain" when you just feel the D is going to make something happen. Last time I felt this way about a Rams D is when we had Freddie Dryer, Jack Youngblood and Hacksaw Reynold were on the field together.
My bad. Sophomore year after taking us to the playoffs his rookie year. Still a pretty incomparable coaching career thus far.not sure about the superbowl in his rookie year...
You’re a piece of work. I’ll give you that. Those are all very good points!!
You're a big guy so I will assume you played football and I think you can understand this with coaches. There's a 1-2 punch certain coaches have and when "punch 1" is off "punch 2" takes the reins for the moment to get some things back on track and that's what I see with those two. It was the same type of coaching experience I had with Coach Elway and Coach Gilbert..... Same type of dynamic with McVay and Shula.
This team is young and very dynamic if by some miracle they can keep Stafford healthy this season and through the 2026 and 27, I think this team can win two or three trophies if we keep Shula and McVay paired.
Yeah, the two salaries are separate issues. What? Where are you getting this idea? I mean I know you for some odd reason don’t like McVay but why in THE hell would McVay have to take a pay cut in order to give Shula a raise? You think there’s some kind of salary cap on coaches? Have you ever even heard of this happening even once before?
It just seems really odd how you could have such a hard on for McVay when he’s the winningest coach in our history and has taken us to two Superbowls. Never mind we currently have the best record in the NFL and sit atop our division after slaughtering the whiners and beating the red hot Shecocks.

I wonder if Staley regrets leaving now.Yeah, the two salaries are separate issues.
If I were the owner Id over pay Shula to keep him if he wants to stay.
But, if he takes an HC job a team cant prevent a coordinator from moving on.
Hopefully Shula chooses to stay.
Rams and McSnead have proven they won't hold someone back. In fact Peter Shrager mentioned this week that with all the effort he's put into getting coaches to be ready for the next step none of them received as much as Shula.Yeah, the two salaries are separate issues.

The "castoffs" would be.....Forbes and Landman I guess??I respectfully disagree

My only hope is Shula determines he's not ready....but, that is unlikely.Rams and McSnead have proven they won't hold someone back. In fact Peter Shrager mentioned this week that with all the effort he's put into getting coaches to be ready for the next step none of them received as much as Shula.
If he gets an offer imo he's gone and McVay will be the loudest cheering for him.
I think he is too arrogant.I wonder if Staley regrets leaving now.
The "castoffs" would be.....Forbes and Landman I guess??
Forbes I would agree is a cast off from Washington.
Landman was a roatational/ST guy who got a shot at a starting gig so left Atlanta.
Puna Ford was pursued by several teams and was not a castoff.
I'll admit that.... but that "bag of dicks" exchange with a few of ROD's finest could definitely gain honorable mention for the "piece of work" award... lolYou’re a piece of work. I’ll give you that.
His name was Rozeboom. A below average linebacker that found his face in the dirt more often than not after missing a tackle.Forbes and Landman yes.....
I'll grudgingly admitting Forbes is improving, but he still makes me nervous.
But Landman who would have thought... We were struggling with that one guy with the long goldy locks (cant remember his name) at LB. It seemed he always where the ball was not.
This also helps with attracting top talent. They know it's a pipeline.Rams and McSnead have proven they won't hold someone back.
I'm somewhat polite.... I don't use AI.... that stuff is for writers.
I was more than alive back then and already playing organized football.
And yes those are opinions like yours, and like some of yours (you like to add a touch of insults) to justify your online social independence... lol... but whatever.
Exacatomundo!!This also helps with attracting top talent. They know it's a pipeline.
I think he's ignoring me which is probably for the bestI'm inclined to give you the Benefit-of-a-Doubt; and, always welcome new members. Welcome!
However, some of your "Opinions" ... which you are entitled to ... are REALLY out-of-left-field.
And, some things you state as facts, are simply NOT True.
Few Examples ...
Hoping McVay moves into the Front Office so Shula can become the Head Coach ... Yikes!
Saying 'McVay threatened to retire to get more money' ... No, he didn't
Thinking Mahomes has an Opt-Out clause and is a 'Cali Dude' ... No, he doesn't ... and ... Based on What?
Saying that the Rams couldn't stop George Kittle because they had 'CBs assigned to him most of the day' ... when a tape review shows there was not a single cornerback in coverage on Kittle for ANY of his 9 catches.
Again, you can post this stuff if you want ... But ... you are going to get some strong push-back.
Finally, a piece of advice to a new ROD member ... Stay away from the poster @Loyal ... he is an Agitator.
