They have 3 years until that happens. Plenty of time. The problem is they have one of the older teams in the league. They better win it now or they will have an old or bad team when their QB gets paid.

Especially if the guys before were one of the worst units in the league as a whole.Don't know. But it's nothing new when a new regime comes in and replaces guys with players they like and/or fit what they want to do.
Giving up picks now won't help thoughThey have 3 years until that happens. Plenty of time.
$20M base salary, and its the last yr of his contract. So he was due a big contract and so it was about $$$. Probably means they take an OT at 25.I don't get the Texans trading Tunsil.
Id think they move their RT to his natural LT position. Then either their backup at RT or a pick.$20M base salary, and its the last yr of his contract. So he was due a big contract and so it was about $$$. Probably means they take an OT at 25.
Geno will be paid more. I'd take Darnold over him straight up (they are both flawed starters) but the Shithawks come out of that exchange with a 3rd round pick and a cheap QB for 3 years.I think I would of rather rolled with Geno.
It's a solid signing. Their front is better, but I hope they grossly overpaid.AZ MEdia getting all tingly over the Josh Sweat to AZ Cardinals signing...
Darnold is entering the prime age of his career, whereas Geno is at the tail end of his.I think I would of rather rolled with Geno.
