He's been an as clown most of his career. It's not a new thing. He also made the Pro Bowl with Geno as a his QB. Fwiw, besides INTs (15:8) Smith's passing numbers were slightly better than Stafford's last year. DK's problem is his attitude.

You think he's going to be cool when it's the 4th quarter and Puka has 8 targets and he only has 2? I don't.
I didn't say to go get him I think he would flourish here. Also not the first time our "atmosphere" has tamed players reigned them in so to speak

Lastly if we are going to try and make the argument that dk made the pro-bowl with Geno Smith that's basically making my point that did he make it because of Geno or in spite of Geno? And how much better could he be with Stafford andan o-line giving DK more time to get open. As far as geno and DK it's like the old adage is it the shit that makes the man or the man that makes the suit?

The player needs to buy in. Which is something I doubt he'd do. Desean Jackson wanted out, Marcus Peters was still knucklehead, there was that dude last season with a history. He got into a fight on the sideline, only lasted a few weeks.

The past 3 seasons,
Stafford: 65%, 9814 yds, 54TDs, 27INTs
Geno: 68.5%, 1226yds, 71TDs, 35INT

Stafford's ceiling is obviously higher, but I don't think it's some massive upgrade. DK isn't going to flourish or be happy if Stafford has another stretch like he did at the end of the regular season. Or when Puka is getting the lion's share of the targets. DK's skillset probably puts him at the X spot. When's the last time someone thrived there?

The knock on him has alway been that he runs a very limited route tree, has straight line speed but poor change of direction ability. When I say pass catcher, I mean the quality of being a pass catcher. It did seem like when he got to Jags, Pederson used him more successfully but there were a lot of manufactured touches at or behind the line of scrimmage (the 114 season had some crazy number behind line of scrimmage) where they just tried to let him use his speed to make up for not being a very good route runner. He could run seems and go's and crossers but not a ton more. The jags had to tailor the offense to him somewhat. You can't go around tailoring your offense to a just okay player but when you do, they'll get those numbers.

Had an issue with drops, that may be gone now, this one I don't know.

And I know you didn't mention it, but he can't block for sh*t.

That being said, is anyone out there at TE in FA? If you don't mind the not blocking, not being able to play inline and are willing to tilt your offense to what he does without hampering the rest of your pass catchers, he's worth a contract.

That’s pretty intriguing. I wouldn’t mind going after one of them to pair with Williams and eliminates a need out the draft.

Preferably Slay.
At 35 ? I think there are cheaper and more productive options in Free agency and the draft.
I could see them bringing him in on a 3-4 mil APY contract for depth if they resign Witherspoon and draft another in the top 3 rounds. We know how Snead likes to bring in players that don't count against those Comp picks

Guess I should have typed that better of my desires as Slay obviously is not a full time starting CB at that age etc. however he is productive enough to be a solid slot 3rd or 4th CB on the field as Cobie Durant was. Also depending how much he’s going to be looking for. There are some nice option at CB deep in the draft and I expect us to pick up a starter at CB higher in the draft as well.
