We’ve got better versions of Christian Kirk already on the team.

PASS
Appreciate the response. I did say kick the tires by the way since we only have Nacua and Whittington signed to the team so not sure where we got better versions comes from lol. Just throwing options out there that won't cost a shit ton since we already have a #1 WR.

For sure. This is the time of year to throw darts and opinions out there.

I watched alot of Kirk here in AZ and he’s JAG in my opinion. Dime a dozen nothing special. Overdrafted.

Kirk as a depth piece and at a price is worth a look.

Yeah pretty much going to be interesting to see how the Rams go about filling the WR room. I wouldn't say Kirk is a dime a dozen guy as he has a recent 1000 plus yard season on his resume. He's a pro and someone will sign him as a #3 at worst. Was he overdrafted and over paid last time he was in free agency? Hell yea, but the market has a way of eventually correcting that. Problem with Kirk recently is his injury history. He actually played much better in Jacksonville than he did in AZ. Now I'm not banging the table to sign the guy once again so hopefully no one gets that idea but I'm all for looking into all options. We'll see where the Rams decide to go.

Once again, how TF are the eagles paying for these guys cap wise. Pro bowlers everywhere with an expensive QB and RB/WR's. Must be nice.
Tons of backloaded contracts (taking advantage of salary cap continuing to go up though Covid bit them in the ass). They'll pay the piper but it's in the future.

I will say, why more teams don't take advantage of more backloaded deals is a mystery to me as you're able to marginally take advantage of cap going up.

I'm with you there. Is it me or does it seem like when something is suggested people think it's an all or nothing discussion? I'm finding myself having to make sure I explain in great detail where I stand. Lot of drive bys on messengers lol..... before anyone thinks I'm taking it personal I'm only making a light joke of it. I love talking shit just cuz but don't do the personal stuff hahaha

Kirk is a slot receiver who was misused in Jacksonville. Coen not having a strong interest in keeping him may signal that McVay won’t either.
I gave you the I don't know as I highly doubt Coen letting Kirk go is solely him not liking Kirk as a player. Cutting Kirk saves the Jags a shit ton. That team has a lot of holes to fill so they can definitely use it. The move just makes sense too since they hit gold on Brian Thomas Jr. Also I doubt McVay looks to Coen for guidance on what players to have an interest in :laugh1:

Yeah, I think we have a tendency to lapse in reading comprehension on here and the default is all or nothing. I certainly fall prey to that too.

Everything's a percentage play really, but that's a cognitive load must of us - me too sometimes - don't want to take on on a forum for football fandom.

I'm laughing because I can definitely see that being the case. That's why I have to remind myself, even if I lapse at it at times, to attempt to lay out the details sometimes so I can take the work out of it for folks if possible.

Speaking of Jags... I posted this in the Kupp thread as well.

The poster looks like the Jags version of Jake Ellenboggen

Probably just speculating on a Cohen/Gladstone/Kupp connection. He would help their culture there so in that regard it makes sense. It's like bringing in a player & coach.

Sad franchise for Kupp to get traded to. I like Coen but the Jags just seem like a team that will never win anything.

Yeah I was wondering if this would come up after Gladstone got hired. I could see it being legit but I could also see it being a vlogger wannabe throwing a dart at something obvious hoping it hits. Kupp is exactly the kind of player that team needs though. Would be a good trade for them if Kupp wants to actually go there.

The WRs are actually not that expensive. I think AJ Brown is at $17m or so. Philly has drafted really well and they actually don't have a lot of high priced vets. Only six total players above $10m similar to the Rams.
