This shit is so bizarre. Why would they have to bring in Evans to kick, if they could just have Karty kick it into the endzone and stop the knuckle kicks? There must be some high-level crap going on behind the scenes. It's not a good look. As a fan, it's making me think "what the fuck is going on here?"

The Rams sure seemed quick to get Mevis out there on the field, and Mevis has already been announced as the kicker for the Seahags game this week. I think Karty is just "insurance" at this point. If Mevis hits his kicks, Karty will be out the door by Monday morning. If Mevis doesn't do well, I think the Rams will try another kicker again...quickly, why they still have some time to hang on to Karty (again, as insurance).

Again, some really strange shit going on here. Last year (especially 2nd half of season) Karty was just fine hitting some nice kicks. How did it all fall apart, so badly, so quick?
Agree 100%.
The whole thing is most definitely bizarre. Not only did Karty fall off the cliff, but yeah, what’s going on with the kickoffs?
The Rams are now ok with just conceding a 35 yard line start? Forcing returns was killing the opposition. Why abandon it if you aren’t even using the same kicker anymore?

If you cant get the knuckle ball kick then it is easy to catch and i dont know if you noticed but we were giving up big returns. I guarantee this ST coach is gone. Mcvay would rather give up field position to the 35 than better field position or a TD

Total joke that Amon-Ra St. Brown wasn't suspended a game along with Daron Payne when it was proven that St. Brown threw the first punch. He got a fine instead.

Remember when so many Ram fans were lamenting that we let Gay go to Indy in FA instead of paying him big kicker bucks? Well he’s been waived twice since then.

Interesting addition. Assuming it's for the 53-man roster; and for Lake's roster spot. Expecting Lake to hit IR.

I had been hopeful Nick Hampton would eventually show something but after almost three years, I don't expect anything. Hampton has gotten some snaps recently. Perhaps Luketa gets those reps as the 4th Edge.
Released EDGE Jamil Muhammad from practice squad yesterday.

You got to find a scapegoat for poor coaching. Karty was apparently it. Strange that they haven’t tried the long fgs with Mevis but instead go for it on 4th? This doesn’t sit right with me because obviously the Rams don’t want it to make it seem there was issues or they made a mistake.

So much for my theory about Luketa on the 53.

I wonder if Jesse Luketa or Damon Clark would be better LB depth on the practice squad?

Both have been starters, Clark has more starting experience.

However we have had good luck with Canadian players like Alaric Jackson

I believe Clark is more of an off-ball, inside-LB, while Luceta is an Edge.

I also think the Rams are merely three-deep at each position, with Landman, Speights and Dolac at ILB, and Verse, Young and Stewart at Edge. Don't consider Hampton to be anything more than an average ST-player; and Reeder as a give-it-all-you-got but Don't Got Much player.

If Lake goes on the IR ... which I expect ... there would be an open spot on the 53.

One of my friends listens to a lot of podcast and apparently Jordan Addison is supposed to be bat sh*t crazy and could turn into the next Antonio Brown. The Vikings are probably going to try and trade him this off season.
