Let’s face it he’s averageCause the guy got injured?
I'm Ok with that... as long as we win someI wonder if Verse will be the first $50 mil. edge rusher? We've got fun times to look forward to with our young D stars needing extensions soon.
Average is light years ahead of where Bennett isLet’s face it he’s average
“Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Aidan O'Connell has struggled mightily this preseason and doesn't seem to have taken a step forward as he enters his third year in the NFL”

Pete Carroll points out big problem with Aidan O'Connell: 'Still trying to work that out'
Las Vegas Raiders head coach Pete Carroll gave his assessment of backup signal-caller Aidan O'Connell's performance in preseason Week 2. In the process, he mentioned a big problem the Raiders' offense has with O'Connell at the helm.sports.yahoo.com
He’s more accomplished than Bennett, and let’s face it, as a third string QB that makes Bennett below average. So, O’Connell is still the better QB at this point, unless you are one of those fans that thinks preseason trumps actual starts.Let’s face it he’s average

YepIs a franchise tag fully guaranteed money?
O’Connell is playing for his 4 the different head coach and 5th different OC in 2 years with the Raiders. I’d think under McVay he’d be way further along. He’s more accomplished than Bennett, and let’s face it, as a third string QB that makes Bennett below average. I think they're very similar, limited physically as QB's but smart guys. Career backups in the end but that's just my 2 pesos. He’s more accomplished than Bennett, and let’s face it, as a third string QB that makes Bennett below average. Taking the Sean Manion route to coaching, I see....Camp is over the QB to help the existing QB room is no longer needed since he's not very talented. He'll be a QB coach in a couple of years IMO.
I'm not even on Bennett's side but comparing O'Connell's starting stats to Bennett's which are non existent makes no sense whatsoever. If Bennett ever gets an opportunity to start a few games, then a fair comparison could be made. Bennett has been here since Stafford has so no way was he ever going to get consideration especially once Jimmy G was brought in. O'Connell is fucking trash as a starter honestly. Would McVay have helped there? Who knows. There's a reason why old man Carroll went after Geno real quick. Just glad that Bennett has shown some real progress vs last year and that we also don't have O'Connell as one of our QBs. Regardless I wouldn't want either to start for us as we'd be doomed lolO’Connell is playing for his 4 the different head coach and 5th different OC in 2 years with the Raiders. Along the lines of what you said, O’Connell had a 4 td game against the Chargers in an actual regular season game. Far more impressive than against pre-season
