Agreed why release a guy who can backup all 3 IOL positions.Maybe they release Jonah Jackson but I hope not.
I'm not a fan of big-Dead-$ and minimal cap relief.
Looks like $11.3M of Dead-$, with a mere $3.3M of cap savings from a pre-June release. That ain't much.
Heck, the Rams would save the same $3.3M by releasing Kendrick, with almost no Dead-$.
Even if Jackson doesn't start, he would represent excellent depth at all three interior-OL positions.
By all means, release Kendrick, too.Maybe they release Jonah Jackson but I hope not.

With the rate of injuries on this team and McVay saying they can't let Oline injuries derail their season, I would say they keep him.Maybe they release Jonah Jackson but I hope not.

I thought there was more if June after June 1st. You're right, Dead Money SUCKS.Maybe they release Jonah Jackson but I hope not.

Absolutely. More savings (and lower Dead-$) with a post-June 1 release designation but the savings in Dead-$ doesn't go-away. It just gets pushed into 2026.I thought there was more if June after June 1st. You're right, Dead Money SUCKS.
I think he is going to compete with Limmer for the starting C job.Not sure how they keep Jackson when they got the 5 set late in the year. I was happy when they signed him, now I’ll be happy if they move on.
IMO they will draft a swing Tackle and resign AJax as well. Bye bye Note.I think he is going to compete with Limmer for the starting C job.
Yeah, when Noteboom was a healthy scratch from the playoff games, his time was done.IMO they will draft a swing Tackle and resign AJax as well. Bye bye Note.
I agree about Jackson and being the starting C.Absolutely. More savings (and lower Dead-$) with a post-June 1 release designation but the savings in Dead-$ doesn't go-away. It just gets pushed into 2026.
I can also see Jackson challenging Limmer for the starting-center spot in 2026. He was rehabbing an injury last off-season, and was limites until August. Then he got injured early in the season. With a full and healthy off-season, maybe Jackson takes-over at center.
Right now, the depth at interior O-Line is Justin Dedich, Dylan McMahon and KT Leveston.
...
I actually like both Dedich and McMahon.
Both are green but had good moments, particularly Dedich across a few games.
Leveston we know nothing about, but, I like the Rams interior depth.

At least the staff appeared to award playing time by merit this time around.

Yeah, I wouldn't release him.Agreed why release a guy who can backup all 3 IOL positions.
And create a hole on your roster. Use draft picks to build up the roster not to fill he's that aren't holes. I'll never understand wanting to create roster deficiencies.Yeah, I wouldn't release him.
But..
I'd play him a bunch in preseason and if someone gets desperate for a starting guard, I'd be open to the right trade.
Fair enough. And create a hole on your roster. Use draft picks to build up the roster not to fill he's that aren't holes. I'll never understand wanting to create roster deficiencies.
And aside from Jackson there is no depth that I know of. Now if we sign a versatile iol in free agency then anything is possible.Fair enough.
I mean.. I wouldn't do it without feeling comfortable with the rest of the depth.
