Yanks in a bit of a no win situation this series.
If they take the series, it means nothing, it doesnt erase November
If they lose the series, the Dodgers continue to own them

90% of the fanbase.....
Not even close. There are those who over react and let emotions rule their thinking. I'm sure you've seen the same from some Rams fans (I have). Can't see the forest for the trees, then realize if they back off, they may look like an over reacting emotional dumbass. Which, in reality, they are. Many wear that "as Yankee fans, anything less than a world championship is unacceptable" moniker proudly. As if it makes them better fans than most. What it makes them is out of touch with reality. It's hard in any sport to win a Championship. And even harder to repeat. Watch the Dodgers. They'll show you. And if you talk to those same Yankee fans, they'll probably remind you, NY was the last team to repeat......over 25 years ago!!!

Wait. Fans over reacting? Get out.

There were probably more fans wanting Davey gone before last year than your manager. I was (am still) one of them.

But in the end… Go Dodgers!

Ouch! Good thing we used our ace closer to end the game. Kike throws a mean slurve.

Yankees lost the one penciled in as the one most likely to win, and won the the one most likely to have lost, so all things considered crisis averted
That plane ride east will be a lot more comfortable after that win

Absolutely. And to piggy back onto that....it's June. Like you said in an earlier post, if the Yankees had swept, so what? If they were swept, SOSAY. A lose - lose situation. They beat the Dodgers best pitcher with their #5. In other words, that's baseball.

And we beat your best pitcher with our #10 pitcher (or is it #15 - I have lost count how many starters we have lost) lol

Sure in game 1. By all accounts you should have swept with your ace pitching game 3. So beating our 1 with your 10 is no where near beating your 1 with our 5 to prevent the sweep.

Think of it this way. Every LA fan thought the sweep was a done deal. Much like they think a WS repeat is a done deal. And they're not alone. Most pundits figured the Dodgers to win 125 games with the 2025 postseason. But baseball is fickle. Sometimes things don't happen the way they're 'supposed' to.

Dodgers have lost as many starters as the Yankees. Yarborough isnt even a starter. He's an opener

Not sure how you figure that - especially with how the season is unfolding. Most fans I know are just happy right now if we win each stand. We’re not playing well enough to assume we can sweep anyone.

Same answer though. I’ve uttered the phrase many times. “Geeze. Save some runs for the next game.” We’re just not playing like a team you can expect sweeps out of.
