Falcons potential of having a top 6 pick will most likely come down to their game against the Cardinals in 3 weeks. It's on the road, so that helps. Other than that game, only a home game vs the Saints is a game that they should win. Their other games, Rams, Seahawks, and Bucs, should be losses. So if they only end up with 5 wins, they have a shot to have a top 6 pick.

Looks like they can move up to #8 if Washington somehow beats Denver tonight.

Barring a Cardinals comeback the pick received from the Falcons will remain at #9 this week.

But the 4-9 Falcons now have five teams with 3-10 records ahead of them in the draft order.
Six if the Raiders somehow defy expectations and come back and beat the Broncos.

All I ask is that they run the ball once on the first two plays

Edit - but Stafford comes thru

If the Falcons lose out, very possible, that pick could be top 5. The reason is a number of the teams ahead of them, or right behind them, play each other. So someone has to win those games. Not to mention the Falcons themselves play the Cards & Saints, so each one of those teams get at least one more win if the Falcons lose out.

Then consider that...

The Comanders play the Giants

The Saints play the Jets, Falcons, & Titans

The Browns play the Bengals

The Bengals also play the Cardinals

The Giants play the Raiders & Commodes (listed above)

So teams will move below the Falcons if they crater.
