Really feel like our FA edge is gonna come from a cut that a team makes after the draft after picking up some young edges on a rookie contract. Sadly, there aren't many edges in the draft so probably only a few of these options will be available.

Or Hampton/ Mathis and a rookie can be sufficient opposite of Young if Young gets even better.

Tice and Mayes go into Rams FA (before the Donald announcement) in their second to last pod. Really like it but Maye worried about the D. Thinks Hoecht was tendered cause something else didn't work out at edge. (Jourdan reported they originally weren't going to).

We can garner that their edge strategy was most likely threading a needle on a guy like Van Ginkel (they expressed interest) but not any high end guys (Jourdan reported they weren't in on Hunter, Greenard, a few others).

Sure seems like the plan is to be a top 3 offense and just get the D to be average. Like Mayes, "I don't hate that strategy." I actually think it's the better shot at the dance than spending less on the oline and trying to shore up the D and possibly having an above average offense and an above average defense.
Agreed. Rams are stating that Stafford is the golden ticket. Giving him weapons and keeping him upright is the highest priority. They only need to add depth to Offense at this point. WR3, RB2, OT.

Between the mega-beef interior OL, the tall TE Parkinson .... plus maybe a fall forward RB (Estime?) and RZ WR in the draft, we should improve our RZ efficiency by leaps and bounds. That alone will make a huge difference on the scoreboard. Might account for an extra 4 - 6 PPG. Plus shortage yardage anywhere on the field. Our offense might be top 5 .... or top 3 .... or #1.

You dont think we would have won in 2018 if Gurley wasn't 100%? In 2018 we didn't have Kupp in the SB either, who won the MVP the year we did win. Lots of factors, my man. Who we went up against is also a huge factor. Brady/bellicheck have been to numerous superbowls compare to the Bengals who have never been.
I’d argue that if McVay had been willing to make some minor changes to his scheme, the Rams easily win that SJlB

Add a kicker to that list and we’re looking even stronger.

I’d like the rams to take a look at laviska shenault jr. Still only 25 yrs old and can return kicks too. Had an ankle injury last year but I liked his game coming out of college.

There is a number of rbs available too like Clyde-helaire, mattison, foreman, and dobbins. But wouldn’t spend too much there.

He would at least add some excitement to our return game.

While I love the rams offense if the plan is to score score score then we better push more chips in yes Stafford is special but injury to him we done obviously but assuming that doesn't occur the depth offensively is enough nor is the firepower to solidify winning shoot outs.

-Kyron? Then what?

-Puka? Love him do we know he will replicate or improve upon last season?

- Coop returning to form and staying healthy?

To go this route then in my opinion you have to floor it and get a Higgins or Justin Jefferson sign a legit running bk so should anything happen you can still win with your strength hopefully

If Michael Hoecht goes down well nothing much changes on that end

Anyone tracking the Whiners offseason? How's their FA going?

Hate them if you choose (I sure do) but they are a quality organization.

Opened-up cap space by restructuring Warner and Kittle.

Replaced Armstead with a good young DL Jordan Elliott, and good veteran DL Maliek Collins.

Agreed on a deal with free agent Eric Kendricks to replace the injured Greenlaw next to Warner but Kendricks bailed and went to Dallas, so the Niners pivoted and signed De'Vondre Campbell.

Signed former-Ram Leonard Floyd to replace Chase Young, and provide an Edge-rusher opposite Bosa.

Re-signed some of their depth players, and lost a few ... including Sam Darnold.

They will not be going-away in 2024, in my opinion.

A resurgent season doing what? Lol unless the Rams have promised him the chance to compete at LT again
He has as a chance to start when Havenstein I'd done and jackson has missed with injury. Note has some value to us

I'm not a big fan of Jeremy Fowler. Don't really think he has a handle on most teams, including the Rams. However, Noteboom is probably the top reserve at four O-Line positions.

Value for sure. How many years are left on his deal? Dunno if he'll even outlast Havenstein.
