Neither am I but, living in NYC, I watch a ton of Giants' football (it's very painful); and Okereke is a solid veteran ILB. He is under contract through 2026 but at a pretty big cap number. At 28, he may be the kind of player the Giants would like to move.

Owusu-Koramoah is certainly the best of the three LBs listed but he is young, productive and just got an extension. Doesn't seem like the kind of player Cleveland would want to move.

Lloyd might be the most interesting. 2022 late 1st Round pick. Good size, excellent athlete, only 26, under contract for one more year, with a relatively low cap number. Jacksonville has some young ILBs. Personally, I don't see enough Jaguars' football to have an opinion on his play.

All 3 are big time improvements for us. I'd give a 3rd for JOK. Lloyd a 4th-5th. Not sure on Okereke. He's a short term rental.

If the Rams bring in ILB help I suspect it will be a relatively small name that the pro staff has scouted, thinks will fit their system very well, and therefore will "punch above his weight" in horns. I don't think they value the position enough to give up big assets in a trade or take on a big contract. We shall see.

Let's get Speights some help soon!!
From a weakness to a strength
Could Rams LBs soon be, inside out, the youngest and most talented in the league?

One can dream :)

Lets trade for that Seahawks ILB Jones. He's looked pretty good. Probably a pick swap is all we'd need.

The defense will rally around Omar Speights and play good football! :sunglasses:

I'm having a hard time cosigning our LBs are bad when Aaron Jones had 58 yards on 19 carries (3.1).

That was a quality effort but for the season, Rams' opponents are averaging 139 rush-yards-per-game, and 4.6 yards-per-carry. The first number is 23rd in the NFL.

Nah we need to give up less than that. Can we finesse another team please?
I don't know why Cleveland would accept less for a quality, productive, young linebacker who has a pretty reasonable contract. But then, I don't know why Cleveland would want to trade Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah just two and a half months after signing him to an extension.

That may be a function of forcing the Vikes into passing late in the game, but.... Aaron Jones was tearing teams up, and we held him to 58 yds. A nice outing by any measure. I really think the addition of Speights has changed the equation, after watching him knife into the line & stop AJ for no gain was very nice to see. His reaction timing is so much better, speed is better, tackling too, so let's just see what we got with him. If anything, we pair him with a F/A ILB, but I'd rather spend that capital on a WR, seeing how our WR's are getting dinged up so much.
That Woods guy was looking pretty good last night, mebbe we can pry him loose from the Texans??

They won't. Especially if Winston leads them to another W this weekend. Watson was the problem all along, they have a pretty quality team. Though dumping Cooper was an odd move in that direction.

They're terrible, and there's rumors they're trying to trade Myles Garrett as well. They're in full sell mode.

OK ... Maybe ... but a Re-build does not usually entail trading your best young talent on reasonable contracts.

Owusu-Koramoah signed his extension in August. Of course it's possible but how often does a Franchise sign one of its best young players to an extension, only to trade him ten weeks later?

I would love to have the guy. Just does not make much sense to me.

Fuck it! If the Rams can get Owusu-Koramoah, let's also acquire Denzel Ward and Jedrick Wills!!!!
