If it's Bowers, then does that make the Parkinson acquisition redundant? Or do we really believe that McVay is going to shift from 11 personnel to 12? And what about Davis Allen?
Nope it doesn't affect him. Might shorten Higs remains time here though. I just don't see the TE angle to moving in. I get Odunze though.

Before that the rumors were that they would have traded up for Engram in 2017.

Both of those guys are similar to Bowers, just not as good.

This isn't necessarily the direction I'd go, but an elite move TE has been a McVay goal for a while now.
Yeah I just don't like the positional value, but hey. Our guys are good at what they do.

Trade down to 32 with the chiefs and then think about trading down again… seems like a good idea to accumulate as many picks as possible.
I think it's good to get as many top 120 picks as possible - quantity of quality so to speak. So trade back into the 30s, but also use those latter picks to trade up.

Well of course it's not a QB. Newsflash: it's not OT either.

I just remembered something that Snead said in the press conference the other day. He gave away a nugget! When they laughed at the ridiculous Reddit Furry guy, Snead said "Does he even know our HC!?"

The HC don't want no damn OT; he wants a weapon!
You'll really like Joe Alt in horns!

I would do somersaults if that happened but no way Chargers pass up on Harrison Jr. if he falls into their laps.

I honestly think Harbaugh wouldn’t be that excited about it and would be willing to trade down

If the Rams specifically trade up inside the top ten, that means they’ve got a few guys that should be available at 8 or 9. One of the QBs, Fashanu(they travelled to PSU), Alt, The three receivers, and maybe Bowers?

Remember, they don’t know who will be there at whichever picks they are putting feelers out for. So, they are just trying to get into range of their tier one group.

Sure, but that's the risk. They cant wait to see how things play out, if a deal is there to be made, they've got to make it.

What counts as a foundational player? Only QBs?
Joe Alt comes to mind and only Maye from the QBs outside the consensus top 2

We already have two foundational players at WR. My question is do we really need a third in such a terrifically deep draft at the position?

If it is one specific player, then they’ve got to wait to see if that player is available at the pick before trading.

If it’s for a pool of players then they should trade before the draft.

I got to the point where Russinni is saying it is a specific player. So that means trading during the draft, if that player is reachable.

Yes on Alt and Maye. I'd add that any franchise LT such as Fashanu would also be a foundational piece. Same with the top 3 WRs. Any super elite talent that they build the team around is foundational IMO.

On your very good question, consider that they may know that Kupp is losing a step. We're not privy to their internal analytics.
