My money is on him flatlining after 2 years. He is talented but I don’t feel he had the mindset to be great for another 5+ years.

I would stack my hatred for the San Francisco 49ers up against anyone.
Furthermore, I don't like Nick Bosa, or the Bosa family background.
Those two points being stated, I think Bosa is a GREAT player. A major impact Edge who is entering his prime.
In the last two years, 34 sacks, with 80 QB Hits, 40 TFL, 44 Knock-downs and an obscene 105 Pressures.
Those numbers are insane.

Still can't figure out how the shit whiners are able to pay him also. They should be like 100m over the cap next year. They are paying top end contracts to more guys then we were, when we were in cap hell. Fuck them and the horse they rode in on.

One factor is Dead-$.
Per Spotrac right now:
This season, the Rams will carry $73M of Dead-$ to the Niners $27M.
Next year, the Rams have less than $1M of dead-$; and the Niners just $5M.
May see some changes when details of the Bosa deal come out. First year or two of massive extensions are often not too burdensome. Believe Kittles and Williams restructured (salary-to-bonus that can be spread-out) to help make the Bosa deal work

Purdy probably gets paid less than we are paying Bruss.

Purdy's cap hit is under $900,000 in 2023.
More than half of the Rams $750,000 of Dead-$ in 2024 is for Bruss when he was released. Subsequently being signed to the Practice Squad does not get the Rams relief of that 2024 Dead-$

An edge rusher doesn’t have to be as good as Donald to put up better numbers. You rarely see an edge rusher have to deal with 2 true OL, each easily over 300 lbs.
You rarely see Donald NOT have to deal with 2 of those big OL.
Aaron Donald has made me realize how many free stats an edge player can garner over the course of a season compared to the phone booth #99 plays in game in and game out.

No. In my first post above, I commented in response to some posts that suggested Nick Bosa very good but not elite. I expressed my opinion that I think Bosa is a great player; and provided some stats.
I don't like complimenting the 49ers or any of their players ... EVER! ... and thought I should preface my opinion by saying my Niners' hatred was extreme. Another poster took that in a different direction and mentioned some old-time 49ers, so I then did the same in response; and, now you have joined in the fun.
Now, I must throw-out Leo Nomellini before anyone else can!
