I'd rather have fucking Wolford and fucking Perkins than Bennett.

Now that is a bit ridiculous. They proved how awful they are. Bennett is back to back national championship and title game MVP. I'd gamble on Bennett 10/10 times over those 2 street free agents.

That’s why it’s such an awful pick.
They wont move up in the draft to get guys they want/need but they’ll draft a guy 2 rounds early.

And you know this how? Haener went right before us, I'd assume there is going to be a QB run. I'd have preferred Hall or Tune, but, honestly, what do I know?

I love our draft so far.

We needed a dev QB and McVay picked his guy. I trust his opinion over mine.

i wouldn't call Stettson a "developmental" QB. He's a solid guy and will make a good backup. Could come in and run things better than a Wolford. But he is what he is...a solid winner who tough and has no fear and loves being a football player/QB. High floor, low ceiling.

We got our backup. Next year with our #1 pick, we'll get our future starting QB.

We could use a backup punter. Fifth round seems about right for this crew.

I forgot we had so many NFL front office people and scouts on this board. I am not a fan of the player but this draft just like every draft proves these comments about when a player will and won't get drafted are complete nonsense. We fans don't know a damned thing about it. How many here "knew" Gibbs would be there for our pick at 36? People were worried Adebawore would be gone before we picked at 36. Lets not forget a certain TE named Washington.

It's a re-run of the 1970's with Pat Haden...an undersized National Champion college QB.

Hopefully, he can just be a very good backup QB for a few yrs.

The difference for me is that Bennett is an all out winner and he is mobile, Mannion was a statue back there and didn't win in college.

I actually like that we have taken older more experienced players, after their rookie contract most move on unless they are special. If they are great you have a quality problem or like Rapp & Gaines etc they move along.

So true. I despise what the draft has become on ESPN and NFLN. PFF does what those shows USED to do. But, as always, ESPN and NFLN don't much care what their core fan base wants. They always have eyes for the ones they're NOT with.

Yeah in the old days ESPN was smart enough to hand the air time to a cocky draft nerd who did his homework. It worked so well it made Kiper a star. The PFF feed reminds me of those days. Underproduced product packed with good info.

But of course once they get popular the same will happen with them lol. Dancing bears, human interest stories where we get to hear about their grandmother in law who passed and how they showed so much character getting through it, endless commercials, etc. But for now it's real nice I've been impressed with their product.

Rappaport says Bennett was Sneads favorite QB of the draft, which shows something.

His best games were probably against Auburn.
