I wonder what he gets paid. Too much for the Rams for sure since he went this early.
Apparently, the Bills aren't concerned about injury and age. Glad to see Rodger getting another deal.
How very Reeder-esque...He was I just remember too many tackles in run or pass defense after a first down.
Hence me calling him Reeder before Reeder came around. How very Reeder-esque...
This can't be real
I see the 5 player OL as you do at 3 posts LT/OC & RT...........
So for now I'm thinking...
LT: Boom
LG: Jackson
C: Shelton
RG: Edwards
RT: Havenstein
Rams have room to mess around with the OGs and hope that competition fixes their interior probs. Not what I was hoping for but what else is new with the OL. Now they just need to bring in more fresh blood in the draft at the very least.
Whoever signs Williams will be cutting him next year or the year after. He's just too inconsistent, and he still had guys roasting him outside the hashes too.
Now maybe Staley has him figured out in terms of getting him mentally prepped to play fast and all. But he got roasted vs Green Bay in the playoffs under Staley too. He's a corner who needs help over the top now or he's fucked. And guys like that you can find well into most drafts and coach them up.
According to Jourdan, signing Allen is a priority for the Rams. Plus she said that Stafford really likes working with him.I see the 5 player OL as you do at 3 posts LT/OC & RT.
My thoughts here that differ from yours on the OL would be for that left side to remain as close to possible as it was in 2021. With this OL having to endure the huge hit with the retirement of AW the starting LT since the 2017 season this offseason......keeping Joe Noteboom & David Edwards (who do have a tight working relationship since 2019 Training Camp) working side by side & @ the LG post together on that left side as starters. @Merlin I understand your desire to see DE back over @ RG since he has been our weakest link in the OL last season. DE has been better @ pass blocking versus run blocking thus he by the demands of the LG position be better there than on the RG post.
I would also expect that 2nd yr OL'er Alaric Jackson to be the main left side top reserve to BOTH positions. AJ must be ready to fill in when Noteboom gets nicked & if Edwards does not improve his run blocking too.
Coach Carberry was busy working 3rd yr OL'er Tremayne Anchrum on the right side in training camp & preseason. I expect him to continue this same plan in 2022. Why would Carberry change? It was the injury that remove TA from getting any number of relief snaps with the offense last season & in return gave them to AJ.
IMO Snead & McVay should have top concerns @ the center position with RFA Shelton not signed & with the departure of OC Drake Jackson to the UK coaching staff.
Below is my current overview of the future OL:
LT- Noteboom/ Jackson
LG- Edwards/ Jackson
OC- Shelton/ Kolone
RG- Anchrum/ Brewer/ Evans
RT- Havenstein/ Ealy/ Pircher
