Looking more like Kiser is the starting MLB for us IF he can stay on the field past preseason.

Not mad at the player at all, but we're not filling holes. That is the scary thing. Is it the end of the world if we enter the season with Floyd and Ebukam on the edges? No not too bad b/c our DL will be stacked. But what are we going to do with ILB and OL? Travin Howard and Natrez Patrick going to get some time this yr.

Agreed and the draft didn't just end after those two picks. There is more to go.

Yeah the Pats those bastids. But you know this is so much more fun when you don't get hung up on certain players so it's all good. (y)
It is! Fucking pats nabbed two of my Uni’s players two years now. This draft is loaded anyways with talent even though someone might have some favorites.

Anyways this is where I’d think McVays best traits are is with the draft. Their strong point so o trust them to pick who fits for us. The co tracts on the other hand! Smh lol

Not the direction I thought we would go but benefit of the doubt goes to McSnead. One thing I like is both are lower risk You know what your getting players.

Akers has the measurables but more importantly can block and has a receiving game that can be further developed which means he can stay in on 3rd and not tip our hat.

Jefferson as all have said is NFL ready too. He runs great routes and has good hands. Lets speed up the passing game with more 12 personnel and quicker developing routes and incoorporate these new tools sooner than later.

Offensive success is on McVay this year he needs to put what he has in the best position to succeed.

LOL I mean technically you're right. I actually love Akers and think Jefferson's route running is suuuuuper interesting. His routes are actually nasty af. But Henderson/Brown with Woods/Kupp/Reynolds/Higbee/Everett didnt seem like the end of the world to me. I think we had the depth already on the roster to move forward with them if we wanted to. I'm more concerted with OL and LB. But cant be too mad at what McVay has done through three years so I hope we have a plan for the OL. Is adding zero talent to the 31st rated OL in 2019 is a bold strategy or idiotic? Hmm
Adding a bunch of rookies to an OL that has 5 or 6 first or 2nd yr players does not make sense. You must develop your kids. I am only interested in adding a C.

Every year people say that Snead goes for potential instead of the safe pick. This year it looks like he took the safe picks that are ready to contribute.

Mims is boom or bust. McVay is looking at the lack of depth at WR and wants a plug and play player. Same with Akers.

I want some big uglies though.

This is still a finese team, but then again so are the Chiefs.
Agreed on wanting an OL addition but I gotta say though that the Rams are less finesse on offense than they were with those two picks.

Akers is a fuckin brick. He's going to change the interior run game dynamic immediately. Gurley on a good day is physical but how many good days did he have in 2019 so we're seeing a plus change IMO.

And Van Jefferson is a big rangy kid. Comparing him to Cooks from the finesse point of view and he's far more physical and also can actually catch the ball when a dude is in his face. The Cooks we had last year after the concussion to this kid... I like the change and the wideout group looks pretty nice right now.

I've been fine with the positional selections. I just strongly disagree on the players taken given the particular round.

Not sure what is going on with Baun (diluted urine sample hurting him?), but I would have much preferred Baun, Dobbins and/or Mims to what we selected.

Their Rams now, so I will get on board, but I'll always be left to wonder. Akers/Dobbins feels like Kennison/Harrison, tbh.

But Mims, if he booms, is a top 5 outside receiver in the league. Van Jefferson is a plug and play in the slot whose ceiling is lower than Cooper Kupp's, lower than Cooks when he was traded to us. We're downgrading.

Well all teams are passing what fans want and on "Mel's Best Available".

Teams take who they want, don't give a shit if they're names aren't popular.

Van Jefferson is not just a slot though. Not to my eye at least Mem.
