Its about generating a consistent pass rush, and we have no one at the edge position who can do that. Floyd isnt an elite pass rusher. He's solid but not enough. And when he comes off the field we will have below average talent out there.

Yea but Obo is better than all the other names mentioned. And we still felt like we needed to add another pass rusher in Von Miller. Now take away Von and Obo we are much much much weaker at pass rush. Maybe Matheiu signing in NO is a blessing in disguise because we can sign an edge vet which helps a bigger weakness.
Well you know I feel ya on the need for an edge pass rusher. Appears the Ram org was not close to the way I felt obviously from their draft. The only pass rusher taken in the 7th is far more of a 43 DE with his hand in the dirt type.

I do know that the impaired pass rusher Terrell Lewis does have as many issues when moving forwards as he has when he is asked to move laterally or when required to move backward.

I would expect that when we see him in this upcoming TC we will see a large monster-looking DL'er blocking the sun out with those extra long large arms & hands. Lewis does not come close to being Okoronkwo, Ebukam or even Von Miller in size.

Yea I personally dont have any issue with T Lewis' skill set. If someone told me he would be 100% for the entire year I would almost guarantee he'd have 8-10 sacks minimum, and that might be conservative. He's also a huge dude, pretty sure he's a lot bigger than Obo. But really all that matters is his health and we cant trust on him to be healthy all year. I bet the FO saw how dominant our pass rush was in the playoffs when it really mattered and understand we dont win the SB without Von rushing at an elite level. So I'd bet they have a plan to add a veteran edge. Just my guess but who knows.

9. You are correct sir, he 'Aint coming.

10. Surprised at this too. I fully expected a back that was similar to Sony. Not upset by the guy they took, but was unexpected.

11. I feared them getting Willis for almost nothing. Now I have a fear they will get Baker for literally nothing. I'm of the opinion he is a solid/good QB and I don't want the Hags to have any opportunity to acquire that for nothing.

12. I think Hollywood is a more dangerous weapon then Kirk, but, yeah, I'm not scared of it.

13. I don't want the stink of the whiners in my post, so I shall not respond.

14. Yeah, Bengals have had a hell of an offseason. They shored up that terrible OLine that may have been the difference in the SB.

18. I feel like they might acquire another TE via cuts. They could kick the tires on a few of the FA's too: Ebron & Jarwin are a couple I could see.

19. I'm only hoping to hear that they have signed Clowney to a team friendly deal. Clowney next to AD sounds menacing.

20. HELL YES

IMO this UDFA class is the least noteworthy we have had in several seasons. It easily could be that the draft itself wasn't the greatest however.
I agree with that last paragraph for sure. The UDFAs aren’t too exciting.

I'm not sure excited is the right word, but I do like the chances for TE/FB Roger Carter & a couple of the Edge DE's.

If anyone thinks McSnead is over with building the perfect beast this year they haven’t been paying attention. Every opportunity to improve will be assessed for cost/benefit. That includes current roster, remaining FAs, cuts and trades before the season and throughout. Have faith Ramily!!

I think adding Allen Robinson is the most brilliant, underrated, under the radar acquisitions in NFL free agency this year.

I don't think the Bengals get back to the Super Bowl for awhile.

Wagner may not be known as a pass rusher but i suspect he's going to get alot of opportunities to hit QB's in 2022.
I’m not buying the bengals either, they were fortunate to not get blown out by the bad luck of the rams offense.

We may also just move AD outside more and lean more on ARob (D) and Gaines.

That would be an excellent move in that it would likely help extend AD's career

That said, Hollins is a solid contributor and Terrell Lewis has the potential to be EXCELLENT. If he can stay healthy, he's got Pro Bowl or better upside, for sure.
There's a myriad of possibilities and options. Perhaps Bobby Brown becomes a player alongside Gaines in the pass rush that allows AD to be outside more. Perhaps Brown is used outside himself. Or perhaps Hollins, TLew, Garrett and Floyd are a formidable pass rush group after all. Maybe Morris creates ways to use Wagner and/or Jones to supplement the loss of Miller.

Or maybe the loss of Miller is a slight exaggeration and over reaction. Sure he was a magical piece added mid season. Sure he is an all time great. Sure he is a great postseason performer. But the Rams D had more sacks and pressures per game before Miller arrived than after.

I find it interesting that Stafford & Kupp & Donald & Co. made us a potential Champion but Von Miller put us over the top and now he's gone along with our chance to repeat. I guess Denver has absolutely no chance without him too.
