TV Show guilty pleasures.

We've had a few of these threads about movies but what about TV shows?

I'll start with Terra Nova. It was a short lived 1 season 13 episode SciFi show that aired on Fox in 2011, what is it with them cancelling TV shows I like! Premise is the world is doomed so they figure out a way to travel back in time to try again with Earth. The whole restart things is a concept that will get me on a TV show or movie every time.

Playoff Schedule

Whats the odds we get the Monday night game, similar to in 21 when we played the Cards?

5PM local time might be tough for some fans to make it out but its also harder for away fans to get to a MNF game....

Networks love to showcase SoFI so I could see a Monday Nighter....

If its Rams-Lions, my guess is thats going to be Sunday Night....

CONTEST Playoff Confidence pool

I will be starting this pool this again this year, as it's been pretty popular the last 2 years.

As soon as all teams have clinched and seedings and schedule comes out, I will post the list in this thread, along with a link for the entrance fee

It will be 10k to enter (place wager in sportsbook)

Participants will rank each team from 1 -14..with the higher ranking going to the team most likely to win the SB

Each playoff week you will get the amount of points based on your team rankings ( i.e.) if team you ranked an 8 gets the win over team you ranked 3, you get 8 points. If Team ranked 3 wins, you get 3 points) and send me your rankings via PM ( If not sure on how to send PM, just ask)

each week will have 1 tiebreaker game ( always the final game of the weekend) and you pick the total points scored

After the Super Bowl, player with the most win totals will win. Ties will be broken by lowest point differential in tie breaker games

Prizes determined by amount of entrys

Winner- 60%

2nd place- 30%

3rd place- 10%

  • Poll Poll
FEATURE ROD poll: Resting starters

Would you rest our starters ?

  • Yes

  • No

  • I could use a nap myself

Results are only viewable after voting.

My vote is YES.

But, treat it like a preseason game and work the starters all week in practice. Work on the problems on offense.

Maybe even bring out the starters for a series or two vs Seattle and pull them early.

Will McVay rest starters?

With a playoff spot wrapped up, does McVay rest the starters and risk dropping to the four seed or is he intent on keeping the third? Three puts us against Washington most likely while four puts us against Minnesota or Detroit. Is the opponent we match up with more important than giving guys a week of rest? It will be interesting to see what he does. I have confidence Jimmy G. can lead us to victory over Seattle but if he has limited weapons and some key defenders sit, I'm not so sure. What are your thoughts?

What is wrong with the offense?

I get it. Yeah, we’re a 10 win team and I should be happy for that. The defense is what it is. We were one play away from an embarrassing loss to an average Cardinal team. My biggest concern is the offense. What in the heck is going on? Stafford was off from the start. Again. McVay’s playing calling almost doomed us. Noteboom was Noteboom. I hate to say it but this team is one and done in the playoffs if we don’t fix the offense.
There was a point last night where we had second and two from close to midfield and, instead of running twice and keeping the drive alive, McVay being McVay, called a pass. Noteboom gets a holding call, Puka gets us close to a first, and we run a two yard route on third and three. WTF? The chemistry is totally absent between Stafford and Kupp, any creativity McVay once had is long gone, and our red zone woes continue. Go back and watch the throw to Puka in the end zone on the right side. I think it was second down. Kupp was open underneath for the TD but Stafford just didn’t look his way. Matthew didn’t have that confident, killer look in his eyes last night. He looked pressured and not just because our OL was terrible. Something is going on with him. He has no chemistry with anyone but Puka. And where has Robinson been the last three weeks? Thanks for letting me vent.
