My apologies for getting on the anger train. Ramsey was arguably one of my favorites, and I wanted to sign Gay.

While I don't get a lot of the moves, or where we're going. I've been a Rams fan for 55 years now. This latest round of off season shit bothers me not at all compared to what I've witnessed over the years.

So to what I find funny...

I was sitting in my bar and this guy we call "Google" because he knows fucking EVERYTHING, was talking about NASCAR and he was stating as fact that a certain driver should have never taken the inside track. "He would have won if he would have not done that. What a moron.".

All I could think was, gee... I bet they wish they had you in their team to straighten them out.

Kinda reminds me of here.
While I think there are plenty of bright football minds here, I can't help but roll my eyes at those that - while they might be right occasionally - think THIS organization that has brought us to real prominence has no clue as to what they're doing.

I'm all for opinions. But "fire this guy or that guy is an idiot..." Welp... Just makes me wanna bitch slap you.

You make it REALLY tough to want to read your takes - at least from this old bastard's point of view.

There you have it. Disagree? Go for it.
I have absolutely no problem with what we are currently doing and need to do to move forward from the “ Fuck them Picks” chapter to whatever this one will be called, I just have a HUGE Raheem Morris implements his defense and the numbers back that up.

Well, I once wanted the equipment manager fired, and my opinion was validated...so there!

Looking at the cuts and trades of high-cap players one at a time was a bit of a shock. When you see the totality of making all of these cuts I realized that the Rams management has turned a page and is now in rebuild mode. Keeping in mind that turning things around in the NFl can happen in a year or two. The first steps can be painful as these and other players are eliminated from the roster but, necessary.

The Rams have kept the big three high-cap high-performance players AD, Kupp, and Stafford. So the hope is that Rams management can make the turnaround in a timely manner of no more than year two while these players are still highly produced. In recent years the Rams have moved on from key players like Gurley, Goff, Cooks and Woods to name a few.

My new rant is to fix the offensive line ASAP before Stafford gets forced to retire.

Yeah, I remember a guy taking over a 4-12 team that hadn't made the postseason in a dozen years and led them to an 11-5 record. IIRC, that was just 1 year. And it involved installing a completely new system.

2023?

The system is already in place and established. There will be a couple new veterans on the squad. There will be a number of talented rookies on the squad. And there will be 2nd and 3rd year guys who might see the lightbulb come on. Plus the pillars like AD, Stafford, Kupp, Havenstein, etc. And the injured guys from 2022 should be healthy.

You never know. Which is why the NFL is such a popular league. I can't be sure but I'd bet my left nut there's not a person in the building who believes 2023 is a lost year and 2024 is the real target.

That goes with McVay's positive mindset.

I'm not in the building so I'm looking at 2024. Maybe, they can be competitive and get near .500.

Don't apologize, we are allowed to vent. It's how we get it out of our system and move on. In the end, no matter how crazy the talk gets here, we all just want the Rams to be the best team possible.

I agree on the offensive line

I know, but I made things personal towards others (@oldnotdead , I apologize to you for making things personal toward you; while I disagreed with your assertion, I shouldn't have made things personal, and for that, I'm truly sorry.), and that's not the person I want to be.

I felt the same way when we cut Gurley and traded Goff. Those two players gave us something to root for after the Linehan/Spags/Fischer eras and I didn't like how it ended with them. My anger was quickly extinguished by us winning a superbowl. Fandom is funny in that way huh

I understand all too well how we can get carried away. We both love our team passionately and emotions run high when we see things that disturb us. I have my GF to help level me out. She tries to keep me on an even keel, until she goes off the rails but that is normally on game days. Her sister had to stop her once from throwing the guac bowl at the TV. The rest of us just scarf it down so it wouldn't be wasted (made from scratch BTW).

We are good Memento. Just two fans who love the Rams equally and simply see things differently.
