Tyler Higbee had 500 receiving yards in the month of December....one month...makes you wonder what his total would have been had we discovered this wrinkle earlier.

Like I said, Kittle is great, and gets all the hype right now, but there is no reason why Higbee cannot be at least as good.
Keep in mind also, his quarterback- Goff- is his best buddy, (and unlike Kittle, Higbees quarterback doesn’t probably have some dormant STD that is going to soon manifest itself with worms and scabs, like Herod. Just sayin’)

He's so wide open on many of those passes too. Better blocking equates to better pass opportunities.
Can you all imagine how sick it would be to have Everett out there as well, and the motion options that could drive defenses crazy?
Even if you just put Everett out there as a FB with Gurley. We really should be experimenting more with Everett in motion at fullback as it pertains to maintaining a sustainable rushing attack with the current offensive line IMO.
If Everett can improve his blocking as well it's going to be watch out!

I'm surprised it took so long to develop higs in the passing game tbh. The guy does a lot of things very well. Blocking, route blocking, and being where hes supposed to be. So hes been a very good te he just wasn't involved in the passing game and I'm beginning to believe its because of mcvays play designs
And a reminder that there is a young developing coach too.
Just get the line fixed and keep growing and improving.
I mentioned this in a post about him. And @Jacobarch mentions as well he is a good route runner, he gets himself open. He is where he is supposed to be for Goff. Between Kupp and Higbee Goff has two "go to" guys. I expect to see 2300 yards from the two of them next year.
I expect Big things out of our Offense next year. We have waaaaaaaaaaay too many weapons for this offense not to average 30+ a game. We need a couple tweaks on our Oline and our running game and we'll be good to go. Not to mention if Goff gets help on the online and coaching staff he should be back to his normal 3/1 INT ratios.

Having legit questions at all five OL positions as of now is more than a few tweeks.
Major questions about the OL is more accurate I think.
DL, LB as well depending of what FA brings.
I think we have at least 3 starters on the Oline right now.
Corbett / Edwards / Evans /
Corbett - has been solid to above average. With limited prep time he's come in and played well. Hasn't been All Pro but one would think with an off season program and coaching, he should improve for next season.
Blythe - He's been pretty decent at center. Again, he's been decent. He flipped from playing Guard when Allen went down and honestly we didn't skip a beat. If anything we got better. But I would put that mostly on the talent around him and not him moving to Center. I don't know if he'll be back.
Allen - I honestly think he's nothing more than a good backup. I'd keep him around but only as a solid backup C/G. and TBH honest I don't know if he can even play Guard. Blythe might be a better option for a backup.
Whit - I love this guy. I want him back. But I want him back for cheap. He's olllllllld. Like ancient old. He CAN still play but once that last domino falls he'll be washed up and we'll clamoring for his head on a pike next season, and people will be questioning McVay. So why even chance it? How many times have we seen this happen to a team. Keeping an older player past his prime and not having a viable replacement. It's how coaches and GM's get fired.
[Edit] If Whit doesn't came back as a player, I hope McVay is smart enough to see this guy can coach as well. He's great with the young players and he's one of the best to play at his position. It would be smart for us to keep him in the building. I can see him becoming a good coach.
Edwards - This guy has Tackle written all over him. He has the measureless and the footwork but will it translate to a starting Tackle? We all know he can play Guard and play it rather well. He played better than the Vet Blythe so that's a great start. I want to see what he has at LT/RT next season. I think He'll be a stud and if nothing more we have a good RG for the time being.
Evans - He got exposed a bit in the Card game. He missed some big blocks in the Run and Pass game. Overall this season he played well but teams didn't have much time to figure out his weaknesses due to lack of film, but I think we started seeing it towards the end of season. I don't think he's a LT, but more or a RT. And I definitely do not think he's a Guard as some others have talked about. If he can improve at RT he can probably replace Big Hav.
Rob Havenstein - Interesting player. Started out so Solid for McVay in 17/18' and completely fell off the Map in 19'. What happened to this guy? Did he get paid and not prep like he usually does? Doesn't strike me as the type of player to do something like that, but who knows. I do know that defense keyed in on his weaknesses and completely exploited them and he had absolutely no answer for it. It's unacceptable for a pro player to go from one of the best to one of the worst in the prime of his career. I would love to blame his right Guard (Blythe) but I can't because I've watched film and 1v1 he got his arse whipped more often than not. Will be interesting to see what we do with him this offseason. I would think he gets traded for picks or FA help.
Noteboom - Again another guy that I wasn't all too impressed with. Corbett came in and outplayed him. However, I don't think Noteboom is a guard but a Tackle only. Some guys are just built that way. He doesn't anchor well at the Guard position which makes him a liability. Tackles don't have that same problem because it's a different technique which he is probably better at. However, his career has a big question mark next to it as he had a gnar injury and he probably wont be back until mid next season. So lets just call him a backup for now.
Brewer - Back up, back up, back up. I know some of you like him.....buuuuuuuuuuut he's nothing more than depth. If he even makes the roster next season. It's going to be a crowded Oline room.
McVay has his work cut out for him this off season. He really needs to focus on the trenches, not only does he need to get a little more physical inside (center) but he needs to figure out our Tackle positions if he's going to be consistent next season on offense. Not to mention if Edwards moves outside who takes over his spot?
Lots of question marks ATM but I have faith they'll get it figured out.

Well, he'll be back next year. Will be interesting to see if McVay keeps using him like he has been. If he does, Higbee could easily post 1000 yards.
Farr, you know I respect, but Higbee isn't as good as Kittle. Kittle is a better blocker and a better receiver. He's better in all phases. But Higbee flashed Zach Ertz-like ability to finish the year. And that's still damn good.
