nah he was talking about the OP indicating breaking news or something. Are you saying the comments made by Matthew Stafford's wife in regards to him playing through TBI are bullshit? You have insight into their relationship and the discussions they've had huh

why?Did those "Twitter whispers" mention Stafford paying back a portion of his signing bonus? Because that will def would have to happen
Because he wouldnt be playing out his contract and all dead money would immediately hit the capwhy?

Agreed on all. There are no whispers so the title is mis-leading. Gets clicks though.
Stan is always in the locker room after games. So is Pastoors.
If Stafford is concussed again they were likely consoling him.
With all that said, I could see Stafford hanging it up. And a VERY interesting off season.
and its recoverable by the team if they retireAnd?
If it’s a signing bonus, that’s his money.
if you retire the signing bonus can be paid back - sometimes the player voluntarily recoups... sometimes the team lets them keep itAnd?

Good luck getting money back on a medical retirement.if you retire the signing bonus can be paid back - sometimes the player voluntarily recoups... sometimes the team lets them keep it
sometimes it goes to court.
Some people just dont like to listen to factual statements. What can you do?if you retire the signing bonus can be paid back - sometimes the player voluntarily recoups... sometimes the team lets them keep it
sometimes it goes to court.
a signing bonus has nothing to do with medical retirement - its kind of the opposite.Good luck getting money back on a medical retirement.
Yeah this wouldn't be the first time a team got a portion of a signing bonus back for a situation like this. Won't be the last either I'm sure. We never know what Stan will do though. He could retire pay the money back to the Rams and take a job with the team for the same amount of money he paid back. There are ways around everything. These players sign contracts that are likely a few hundred pages or more long.
No doubt the team protects itself in these situations.
And no doubt a player and their family decides health with dollars. Don't we all?
