Johnston’s father has been in football for years as a strength and conditioning coach. Followed Matt Rhule from Baylor to Carolina.

Father was also Brett Favre’s best man; and Favre gave Clay a shout out as his “sleeper” just the other day on the Draft-a-thon. Favre may not be too objective here.

Johnston was productive in 2018 and productive early this year before a knee injury.

Not a fan of drafting players like this. If they can't stay on the field in college how are they going to stay on the field in the NFL where the players are bigger, faster, and stronger.
I agree with you, but i suppose the argument would be that the player will be getting professional strength & conditioning in the NFL.

Johnston’s father is a strength and conditioning coach with the Carolina Panthers.

Solid Core Door, right?
I was thinking something like this.

This guy was picked as a sleeper by multiple people. Seems to be a solid player and dropped due to injury concerns. I like the upside for a 7th rounder. Special teams early and maybe in a year or two we have something.
