I think Dolac will earn more time as the season goes on and may replace Speights by late season. One thing for sure, I like this group so much more than the LB room just a couple of years ago.

I think The Rams defense is going to use more DB’s for coverage.They basically on have 2 LBers,plus the Pass Rush Edge.

Stewart was placed inside at times which showed his versatility.Really keeps him on the field & puts The Rams in good match ups that puts more pressure on QB’s trying to read coverages.

I would not bet on him being a starter @ ISLB'er but push the reserve ILB'ers for a spot. Nikhai Hill-Green is not as big as Speights & has some better speed. NHG might have some abilities of being a good ST'mer.

I truly expect to see Landman & Shaun Dolac being the starters. However I agree biggly with @den-the-coach ...there is a very BIG need for our ILB'er having the ability to cover the pass. I did not see much of it last season with our then 5 signed ILB'ers. the ILB unit remains almost the same with Reader out & NHG in at the moment.

This Ram ILB unit continues to disappoint me. I consider this unit even with this new UDFA to be the weakest of the Rams. Rams DC will have to plan & lean very heavy into his DB unit to cover for this ILB debility.

Meanwhile, I continue to hope that next years 2027 draft the Rams can find the next Fred Warner in the 3rd round of the draft.

Me too. He plays smart and is pretty fast.

Seems to me you can use both Dolac and Speights situationally depending on whether you want to defend passes or runs more on that play.

My hope is a rookie steps up & makes the roster.Sean Mcvay does talk highly about them both.Jaylen had 4 int’s his rookie season,Wallace had 1 in 2025 & 20 tackles.
McCollough started 6 games to replace Q. - Josh W. took Jaylens spot in different packages.
