I don't think the Rams will take a receiver at 13 and there isn't one to trade up for. If they can't trade back it will be Defense.

Agree.
There seems to be a bunch of good WRs, but none good enough to be picked at 13.
That's assuming that all the other positions don't have the same issue, and the Rams have to pick someone (or trade back, of course).

McVay's first comment on pick 13, in his NFL Live interview, was, "You can never have enough guys who move forward and pressure the QB." He then added sonething about weapons on offense. So pass rush is always a priority for them.

I mean, personally, I think the 3 tops guys are worthy of being picked at 13 and I assume 2 of the 3 will already be gone by 13. Tyson would be a no brainer top 10 pick if not for the injuries.

I'd be curious how much the Rams have missed on WRs if you factor out their lack of 1st round picks into the equation. I suspect they actually have been league average on hit rate and though it muddy's the waters but two of those choices have been top 5 WRs in the league for multiple seasons.

Yeah, who was the earliest Wr they picked? Jefferson? I was a big fan of Jefferson, but unfortunately he topped out early. Hopefully if they go WR in rd one he ends up being a stud,

They are 100% when it comes to drafting studs in rd 1 lol

You're right, not "much dropoff", except for the drops, sorry, couldn't help myself.

Concepcion is the one WR I hope the Rams pass on. He has some good traits, but catching a football apparently isn't one of them.
I think Lemon is a better version of him - maybe not as fast, but better in everything else.
I probably wouldn't draft any of the WRs at 13... but if the Rams do, I wouldn't freak out if it's Boston, Tyson, Lemon, or maybe even Cooper.
I'd be good with Sadiq - I'd be intrigued with the possible plans for him.

I think I would be worried if the Rams pick Sadiq because he seems raw, and with the TE group in place I don't see him playing much more than Fergy did his first season. Pick someone who makes a difference this year.

I'd be ticked if they picked Boston or Sadiq. Boston not running at all is a huge red flag to me. Could that mean high 4.6's or 4.7's? It sure doesn't suggest he's gonna run fast or even average IMO. I'd be shocked it if doesn't effect his draft position and push him to lower 1st or even 2nd round.

They should be able to get his plsy speed with those GPS readings from games. Snead even mentioned that they lean more on GPS data than 40 times because it shows how fast they play.

Tyson got a boost for not running at the combine or his pro day because of his nagging hamstring injury?

I was seeing Tyson continuously mocked in to the Rams and as low as 16, now I keep seeing him going as high as the chiefs….

Not sure why. I don’t want anything to do with him. He can’t even stay healthy in underwear

If we go WR still hoping we take Boston. We need to convert redzone opportunities more than anything, and he has the best hands and contested catch ability of all the big options in this draft. He is always open. Also his game translates harder with Stafford, who is a gambler who will put it on him in that redzone. Dude had 4 drops in his career in college as a contested catch machine.

Also one of Adams biggest weaknesses is his inbreaking routes. Boston gives us power digs with hands and security. He's a power forward receiving weapon who can body corners outside. He improves our offense year one as the third wideout.

Only other WR who does him better in that regard is Tyson, who adds that OBJ type presence, but he's frail as fuck. I'm pissed he didn't run, and obviously that means he's conceding that he can't run a top 40 for his size and weight. But his traits are gonna play in this league and Stafford magnifies them.

As it should be. Young is going into his 4th and final year of his contract. Verse his 3rd (of 5). Steward into #2 of 4. I'd think an OLB's name will be called again this year. Don't know what round though because WR has to be a bigger need.
