Yeah Tyson my #1 pick for WR.....I bet CGI parks in handicap spots on purpose!
I like Tyson.... But we already have that in Puka. I would like to see 6-5 outside the hashes that wins 50/50 balls and can physically put a hurt on smaller DB's

So if he's another Puka, that's bad? :laugh4:
Lol

A Puka type WR.... I doubt he will be nearly as good as Puka out of the gate... Puka is a straight up football player and was a total shock to the NFL.

I'd rather have big and fast.... something we don't have in a WR..... 6-4 to 6-6 WR would be ideal

Give me Styles in the 1st and Lane in the 2nd (Hurst in the 3rd would be ok too).
Hurst will be a guy McVay appreciates for sure. He is very smooth. Looks like a McVay wideout.

In terms of prioritizing hands and catch radius, though, yeah Lane's my "didn't get it early" wideout choice because he can develop with us. But I think he's got rare hands, and also some of those other things you want. Just needs to learn some kung fu hand work and moves to get off that line press he'll receive in the NFL. Nice thing is he'd have plenty of knowledge in that room in LA for that.

I'm hoping for that combination because it maximizes Stafford's remaining time in this offense. We can find smooth route runners all over the draft. The size/hands/catch radius types though tend to go on the early end.

Now that they've loaded corner, I think that pick at 13 is probably wideout. So here's hoping they knock that out at the top as there's potentially 3 who fit that role for us there.

One thing I do think they may look at there is OL though. Simply because this year is really fucking weird at the top with the Tackles. Lot of short arms and likely OG conversions. But in a way that fits a Rams need since they could use a swing tackle this year and they may end up letting Avila walk if he doesn't play well.

Edge is similar in that the short arms may end up making a dude available at 13 that the Rams value. So of course with the Rams they're hard to predict. But I still think WR at this point.

I can't argue with you there but you said Puka lol..... I'll take another one of those but yeah no way to tell if he's that or something else. Tyson is a stud and would be a great WR option for us. I'll talk to y'all after we draft him :laugh4: :zany1:

Tyson is much more like Davante than Puka. I want the best WR. Don't care if he's 6'6" or 5'11". The five best WRs in the NFL right now are (in no order):
Puka Nacua - 6'2" 212
Justin Jefferson - 6'1" 196
JaMarr Chase - 6'0" 205
Jaxon Smith-Njigba - 6'0" 197
Amon-Ra St. Brown - 6'0" 202

Give me the guy who is the best at beating the man in front of him. I want production. That's what I'm chasing.

That's definitely Tyson to me. He flat out abuses DBs.

College DB's.

But I can see him being adjusted in his first season in the NFL, but I don't think the Rams are the right fit for him..... I can see him getting frustrated because he's more of a teams premier WR.... he won't be that on the Rams. .... IMO

I know the break downs are all hype but, I like the size and speed combo of Brazzell. He will undoubtedly add weight in a pro program so that isn’t a huge factor for me. A trade down to 20-25 should see him still available and a top end true X to replace Adams would be a great addition.

From NFL Draft Buzz:
Brazzell walked into Indianapolis with a reputation as a long, fluid receiver who could win downfield and at the catch point. He walked out having torched the 40-yard dash with a 4.37 that tied for the ninth-fastest time among 34 receivers. That number changes the calculus entirely. Before the combine, you could talk yourself into Brazzell as a quality possession X who won with technique, length, and contested-catch ability. Now you are looking at a 6-4 target with an 80-inch wingspan who also happens to run faster than most of the guys he will line up across from at the next level.

What separates him from the Laquon Treadwells and N'Keal Harrys of the world was already on tape before the combine confirmed it. His hip flexibility and route discipline at the break point are legitimately surprising for someone his size. He can sink into a dig route at fifteen yards and come out of it clean, not lumbering through the break like so many big receivers do. Pair that with the verified elite speed and you have a receiver who threatens every level of the defense, not just the back end. Play-action heavy systems that lean on shot plays and deep crossers will get the most out of him immediately.

The concerns have not vanished overnight. He still needs to add functional weight to handle NFL press coverage week after week. The concentration drops on underneath routes remain a correctable but real issue. And he is not turning a five-yard hitch into a twenty-yard gain with his feet. But here is the thing: that 4.37 took the bust risk off the table. The big receivers who flame out in the NFL are the ones who cannot separate, who rely entirely on size and jump-ball ability to produce. Brazzell separates. He separated on film all season long, and now the measurables confirm that the separation is backed by genuine top-end speed. The ceiling is a true number-one X receiver who commands safety attention and opens up the entire offense. The floor is a productive vertical threat who stretches the field and dominates contested-catch situations in the red zone.

Brazzell would also be a nice fit for the Rams, I don't think he's as strong a Boston but he's a little quicker.

I know the Rams are really big at looking at actual game data like player speed, etc so I wonder what those numbers look like for Tate. Yeah he didn’t test the best in the 40 but maybe his game speed is faster than that. It could be something to think about if he’s available.

40 time doesn’t necessarily mean anything. Larry Fitzgerald was slow as shit and he was just a first ballot HOFer…

Jerry Rice had a reported 4.71 40….

Tate gets open deep, that’s what matters. People all over put way too much stock in the 40.

I would argue that it does but not as much as people think and the difference between 4.4 and 4.54 isn't that big a deal for a lot of players - and that there's a lot of variance in play speed.

Sub 4.4 gets interesting.

Fitz and Rice were exceptions to the rule.

Larry was a very specific type of receiver that would just body people.

Jerry was a unicorn.

No doubt. Track speed ain’t the same as game speed.

Acceleration should also be factored in. How long does it take an athlete to reach top speed.

This was my criticism of those pointing at Ferguson being “fast’” wearing underwear. His acceleration looks slow to my eye.

He’s got some decent game speed in the open field running a straight line once he gets up to his top speed.

And that folks is why we have the 10 yard split, 20 yard shuttle and 3 cone drill!

We have a decent shot at getting Lemon if we want him.

Could def bet there at 13.
I'm not so sure. 'Aints probably gonna be looking long and hard at Lemon. Realistically, Tyson could be the only WR left on the board for us and that is only due to injury history.

Fergs probably timed well in those areas too (in underwear) but what do I know?

I know that my eye test says there are probably a dozen TE’s in the league that are faster, twitchier, with better body control and more elusive than Fergs. Not the TE i was looking for in that draft.

Wait and see I guess. That’s what folks keep telling me anyway…
