Garrett Nussmeier says he's set to meet with Jets, Rams, Colts

Quarterback Garrett Nussmeier did not have the 2025 season he had envisioned after suffering a significant abdominal injury at the beginning of training camp.

Los Angeles working out Nussmeier privately is intriguing, as the team may be looking to prepare for reigning MVP Matthew Stafford’s eventual retirement.

Just heard Super Bowl winning Quarterback Phil Simms on ESPN Radio New York. A couple of interesting tidbits. He has Joey Aguiar as his 3rd rated quarterback this draft, behind Mendoza and Simpson, ahead of Beck and Nussmeier. He also had Taylen Green as his Boom-or-Bust wild card but he seems to really like him. Says he's "no Anthony Richardson" for what it's worth.

Rams aren't stupid. They realize those dudes in the mid to late range in this draft are QB2 types. But drafting a QB2 makes sense for them. Next year when Bennett rolls out that QB2 draft choice can take the reins and give us a cost controlled backup.
