Unfortunately that style and history left the cubbard bare this season. Those that don’t learn from the past are condemned to repeat it. Glaring need that has to be addressed in free agency and early on in the draft in my opinion.

This dude was like the reaper with the RB pass pro drill (Shrine game). Had to look him up and gonna load up some full games but I like what I'm seeing and he's listed in rounds 3-5 range.

Yeah, I heard that on NFL Network. Forgot to mention that. I only mentioned him here because McShay was effusive in his praise. Said ge might be the most physical player there this week.

Using a ton of screen passes. McVay wants downfield accuracy, which he’s be inconsistent at.
When the Rams clinched the NFC West Division in 1973 against the Bears on the road, Phil Olsen is one of the players that helps carry Chuck Knox off the field. Much better then the Gatorade Shower of today.
I think he may be in play for us. He didn't really stand out though because he drove them down his first drive, then ended it with an INT in the endzone. And the way they called that game was brutal, so I think they really screwed up by their coach selections for the teams.
But what I like about him is he won two titles at the lower level of competition and he's shown that he has enough talent to play QB at this level. He definitely has enough arm. Don't think I'd say big arm but yeah he's got enough. Moves well. And seems competitive as hell so he looks like a Rams fit to me.
Williams isn't due any huge bonus at the beginning of the league year. Nor no guarantees will kick in if he is on the roster in March. He did have such a guarantee in 25', but not this year according to OTC. He only gets a $500K roster bonus if he makes the team. So yeah, they can wait and see, at least until they need his cap $$ to sign someone one, or to be their cap cushion for the season.
I however do doubt that he is still here come training camp. The Rams tend to release guys early to give them a chance to catch on elsewhere. I just can't see why he would be in their plans with him being a year older now, and not being very effective this past year.
His ass is gone. Rams aren't gonna fuck around in the secondary this year. Not after they cost them.

I was more speaking about his play in practices then the game. He is definitely an intriguing option at QB of the future, although his production at Iowa is nothing to be wow'd by.
I wouldnt be disappointed if the Rams didnt draft Simpson but would be pretty excited if they did
I'd be happy with him on our depth chart. I think he's on par as a midround QB2 type who might be able to be an outlier if he works hard enough.
Funny how that works isn't it.
Drafting a QB would inject a lot of excitement into preseason games.
WRs Hurst and Fields have both made themselves some money. McShay already talking 4 wideouts in the top 15, as if that's some change btw, which I have felt is the case all along (Boston is one of them). Gonna be a lot of wideouts in the top two to three rounds. And a lot of choices for big wideouts which we need.

Edge Moore looks like a real nice Rams fit. He's physical and plays high intensity and I like his contain. He made himself some money this week but still shouldn't go too high.

The more I look into it and think about it, Lemon would be an amazing pick. Not only is he a sure handed, great route running receiver, but, he could be a pro bowl returner. What a change that would be. Plus, we have a plan in place for when Adams leaves next season. Not to mention, the depth we thought we had at WR, wasn't really all that talented when it came down to it. Would hate to miss on one of the top end CB's, but, I like a lot of lower 1st and 2nd round CB's.
REALLY intrigued by Malik Mohammad CB Texas. Big, athletic, and can tackle. Everytime I watched Texas, he stood out.

I like that Kyle Louis is getting some press btw, he's another of those small and quick ILBs who fly around and can make plays in space. For me what matters most in today's league for the offball boys is speed and an ability to run down QBs when they escape. Close them down quickly before they get rolling, or force them sideways to buy time for teammates. Also speed and instinct types can get back quicker on play action and maybe still have a chance to disrupt routes.
There are a couple ILBs from Ohio St that will go pretty high in this draft. One of them would be fine by me too. But as it pertains to ILB I want speed. Sideline to sideline. I value stopping power, I value turnovers, and all that other stuff, but for me it's behind the ability to cover ground and snuff out running QBs. The dude is small but he just makes plays.
